I mean, if we’re being honest?
1) Texas
2) Ohio State
3) Georgia
4) Notre Dame
5) Miami
Georgia, ND and Indiana may well actually be the three best teams in the country, but we haven’t seen them play anybody yet. Basically the same for Miami.
Texas was #4 and beat #1. Gotta give the Horns the nod for now. And can’t punish OSU for losing at #4 by a point.

Yes you can because they should’ve never been in a position to be anywhere close to losing this game. Texas turned the ball over twice in their first four plays from scrimmage. That isn’t exactly number 1 ranked team behavior.
Ohio State couldn’t punish them sufficiently for either of those mistakes. In fact Ohio Statets offense looked absolute dreadful at times, and at best when they didn’t look bad they looked extremely timid.
OSU has one of the best secondary’s in the country. You could nit pick and make an argument between three teams,‘them Us and Alabama for who the actual number 1 secondary is.
Also at a certain point it doesn’t really matter that we played WKU. We are averaging 65 ppg with our ones barely averaging a little more than a single quarter of playing time in both games.
It’s extremely easy to make the case UGA is number 1.
Texas definitely has the best win, but they were extremely sloppy in that game, and had they been playing a team like say UGA or LSU or Miami who could actually punish them for their sloppy play they would’ve been beaten by 17+
That’s why I think it’s very fair to have to them where I have them. It rewards them for the best win of the season but doesn’t give them the full reward because it looked like two cripples fighting each other
Miami is much the same argument I made for us. It’s extremely clear how good both Miami and UGA are. I would say the same for LSU, even though I think Clemson sucks they at least completely decimated a p4 opponent.
ND is the only team your arguments don’t make sense for. They very well might be the best team in the county; but they haven’t exactly been as impressive so far as teams like UGA and Miami have been against teams they should slaughter, I refuse to rank them top 5 until they play BYU at least

See my post above.
Ranking you guys 3rd is very fair imo. Yall played extremely sloppy against Ohio State. Their offense was extremely unimpressive and for some reason they were extremely timid.
Either way they weren’t able to punish you for the sloppy play of Texas tonight. If yall had been playing UGA or Miami or LSU or a few others and turned it he ball over twice in the first four offensive plays from scrimmage you would’ve been ran out of your stadium because those teams would have actually made you pay for them.
I think Texas can get that kind of stuff cleaned up, and I want to reward them for having the best win of the season, I also think Arch looked very good. That means 3 imo is a fair spot for you

I’m sorry, I just can’t put Indiana in any top 5 conversation until I see them without their star quarterback against somebody with a pulse. They could be, but I can’t put them there yet.

That’s fair.
Who are you replacing them with?
Please tell me it isn’t ND

I don’t think you can really judge a team from playing someone who is significantly below their level. You judge teams based off how they played similarly talented teams and go from there. Everyone else is an unknown and therefore it’s dumb to try and say they’re good based on how they played against poor competition.

I hate doing rankings this early, but if I have to go strictly on what we’ve seen so far, I guess you’d have to put A&M. And I fricking hate doing that.
I think next week is going to answer a lot more questions though. Especially about LSU.

So when we beat Arkansas 60-3 next week you’ll agree we are number 1 right? They’re a p4 team!

Texas beat Ohio state
LSU beat Clemson (ACC)
Now the ACC is a weak p4 conference but is still p4

I’m also fine with putting OSU there. Just not Indiana.

Still don’t have a clue. Need 2 more weeks. What we do know is who has the talent at skill spots and who has at least a defensive who can complete games.
UGA hasn’t been tested.
UTK responded well on the road at GT
UT came back and finished in the 4th
Ohio State didn’t finish
Michigan responded well after a bad start
Oregon is a fraud this year but still has the talent to beat you
LSU has a top tier D. Need more consistency out of QB
OM has monster skill players with issues at defense
Miami looks great but against who
OU sucks but will ruin a few seasons
Indian looks good but not tested
Clemson sucks donkey balls
State about to frick some shite up this year
UGA hasn’t been tested.

This is exactly what I think everyone isn't thinking about. They are ranked based on last year's team. Most of the great players are gone. People are trying to compare a green apple to a red apple here.

I’ll tell you to schedule a better OOC game instead of running from them.
