I’m not shilling for anybody :lol:
But I guess I’m dying on the wrong hill. Maybe there is some recency bias, and also “dying on hill” syndrome. But I really do feel like Woodward left things in worse condition and I guess I’ll die on that hill.

I mean maybe. Again, im not at all crowing Alleva, but Woodward really fricked up. And really at two universities. His contracts were horrible. Alleva was terrible, but he was terrible without wasting nearly as much money.

Woodward never would have brought Wade back and never would have hired a guy like Kiffin. After Alleva left, football won a national championship with the coach that he hired. And he also left behind one of the most successful basketball programs ever at LSU. Only for it all to fall apart with Woody firing the basketball coach and sticking his nose into the football program. Like hiring Polini.
Again, I’m not saying Alleva was a good AD. But Woodward really fricked up. It’s not exactly as easy to gauge as you think it is.

They both suck. They’re both not an AD anymore. Woodward lost more for the university. Including investing in a women’s basketball program that loses almost 10 million a year. And he hired two failures. One for 100 million dollars.
Give me Alleva in a slight edge.
