Media gets worried the game will get tuned out and lost ad $$$$
Refs step in
Bad calls on both sides
Totally throws game flow of axis, and delays
Game is close going into halftime
Media overlords are happy
Refs get a bonus
Bobby Knight warned of just this future effect on college sports when at Indiana and everybody else worried about organized crime influencing refs. Knight said in the future it would be the media guys because the gamblers were peanuts to compared to the media folks.
