I believe it as much as the stuff posted about Bama pushing players out of state so Auburn can't get them on this board.

I never said Alabama pushed players OOS. I even acknowledged that I had no clue with what pushed him (Kwon Alexanders, since I know that's what you're referring to) OOS. You might want to go back and read. Besides, that was on the SECRant, after all. I don't really see your beef with it since I didn't blame it on Alabama (or anybody else for the matter).

Had nothing to do specifically with that thread nor directly at you, but it's been said on here before.

I hold that in the same light as the Craig race card, unsubstantiated internet talk. You can treat as true and it may very well be, but it's never gonna be verified. It's a crutch to come to an explanation.

In that case, I don't believe Alabama pushed him to LSU, either. LSU and Alabama are becoming, wait for it, somewhat of intense rivals. Why would Alabama push a player of hat caliber to a team like LSU? Wouldn't it have made better sense pushing him to Auburn under the Gene Chizik regime? Where he would not get good coaching? LSU puts players in the league with the best of them, and he'll definitely get some of the best coaching there.

Like a ton of stuff, until it comes to fruition... Most never does, though.

I choose to firmly believe most of the internet talk with regards to Trooper Taylor. Not because everyone seems to throw a lot of stuff out there, but because I have friends that have seen things first hand.

BTW, I just noticed that Tre' Williams visited Alabama unofficially on April 20th, which was his latest visit. Before that, he had visited Auburn unofficially on April 5th and 13th. What are the Alabama guys saying? I know the heavy rumor is him committing to Auburn, but Alabama did get the last visit. I also know he'll be coming to Big Cat Weekend when Auburn holds it.

The last sentence says it all. He said he wants to go ahead and get it over with and kinda shut down his recruitment. He wouldn't be going to BCW in 3 weeks if he was committing to Bama.

Craig is doing work in Mobile. Casher, Davis, Thornton, and Williams is a great Mobile haul

There's no doubt he was the most important coaching hire when it comes to recruiting.

Jameis Winston would be in orange and blue had he been here coaching sooner.

Bone and Youngblood both think Auburn, Bone noted that the staff was caught off guard with the announcement date.

my sentiments as well, if it was Bama, staff wouldn't have been surprised

playing devil's advocate though the hurry up announcement points to Bama since we already signed 2 LB's and class is filling up and will likely see 5 or 6 more commits in the next 2 months or so

Still I think it's AU

Thornton is so dumb I'm not sure he could qualify for Juco, well alone AU with their grade changing skills

LSU has been and still is pursuing hard. Yeah, it's unlikely he qualifies, but whoever gets him out of JUCO will be getting an incredibly talented DE with huge upside. We're putting ourselves in position to be that team

Thorton's senior year and standardized test scores are yet TBD. If he's motivated enough, and gets solid guidance/ tutoring... he can put himself in a position to qualify.

A. Its just a joke, so relax B. If a program doesn't want people making jokes about it, it shouldn't keep hiring sleazy dirtbags.

I'm sure it's the same for LSU, Auburn, everyone involved. If he wants to commit, his talent dictates you accept it. You put a plan in place for him to get qualified, and any deviation from that plan makes him forfeit his spot.

Some schools may or may not continue to follow him through JUCO and sign him after. LSU has not really done that recently with anyone. Auburn and Bama have with different guys. Not making a vlue judgement, just saying the staffs approach things differently. And Auburn's new staff may approach it differently now than in the past.

A. I don't have a problem with the joke itself.
B. To my knowledge, he isn't a sleazy dirtbag.
C. Keep something like this on the SECRant.

The SECRant Recruiting Board is just something we try to keep flaming away from, that's all I'm saying.

Negative recruiting happens, doesn't make him a sleazy dirtbag.

I guess when he's recruiting for you, all past sins are forgiven. I can remember more than a few threads from AU fans debating the tactics that Craig had used against his own school.

it happens... when someone recruits successfully for your program, they're an excellent recuiter.... when they're doing it for another program, they're a dirtbag.

It's how the game is played... if people get their panties in a wad of this stuff, they need to find another hobby.

Negative recruiting is one thing, playing the race card is another. Especially considering Craig played QB at AU and is black. That was the story I was told about how he recruited against Auburn in the sweepstakes for Jameis Winston.

Oh, I know. I'm sure Sal Sunseri and Jeremy Pruit have put that to work against Alabama.
