Its not.

AU folks...just bec a player is not high on Bama's staff does not mean he is not any good or high on oursa

They look for certain players just like the other 124 schools. I doubt CNS only offers the top players in each position...he goes after needs.

Dont you admittingly not follow recruiting?

You're correct. However, the homer'ishness of some are apparent to those of us with only a passing interest in recruiting.

Tre said he made his decision early last week, which means he probably informed both coaching staffs. Then Whitley commits a few days later. To me, it looks like Saban said if you commit to AU, we're filling your spot with an equally good LB, and Tre was fine with it

I don't care where he was on bama's board, what I do know is we got a big time instate LB. Williams was a must get for us this season and we got him. Hopefully he can become one of the cornerstones of this class

If Dameyune Craig stays at Auburn, that'll be an extremely hard pull for Alabama.

Yeah, it happens all the time. You win some, you lose some. Alabama just wins a lot more than they lose when it comes to recruiting battles.

I don't even see it as a loss. This has been known for some time. A badly kept secret, if you will. Plus, I'm very content with the ILBs that Alabama has added to its 2014 class. Just need to sure up the Jack and SLB.

exactly I knew, most Bama fans who closely follow recruiting knew

Doesn't mean I was trying to downplay it in any way

AU got an excellent LB no qualms over that glad to see the guy stay in state

Just because he wasn't as high on Bama's recruiting board doesn't mean he isn't an outstanding player & prospect, he is. There are different qualifications for every LB spot in Bama's D.

Everything I've seen out of the kid, I agree. He seems like everything I want an AU athlete to represent...just like Lutzie and Lemonier.

Like you got Foster? Auburn fans might want to wait until February to begin the party. It's not like Saban isn't known for stealing your best recruits right before signing day (and sometimes even after).

If we go 3-8 again and DC gets fired then I think comparing him to Foster will make sense... In all honesty it is Casher that scares me as the guy bama will flip. I think Williams will be solid
