Some of the rumored stories about y'all's recruit visits under McElwain are baffling.
That one that was copied on yalls recruiting thread about a QB getting invited to the campus and then having to work out against his will was painful even for me to read, and I'm a Georgia fan!
Either McElwain just doesn't get recruiting or his assistants are dipshits. Probably the latter I would guess.

Yeah, that was it. Coaches said he "wasn't on the list" and everyone "attending the camp (
)" HAD to work out. If that's even a TENTH of the truth, heads needed to roll that minute.

McElwain has been depleting UF's talent pool for a few years now, it will really start to be noticeable next season.
What I found baffling is after the 1 DB flips to Nebraska (jesus at losing a DB recruit to NEBRASKA), McElwain will have only signed 2 4-star DBs and 0 5-stars in 3 classes (2015-2017) at UF. I mean holy shite, so much for any claim to DBU. That's pretty pathetic.

The craziest part to me is the fact that most of these guys worked under Saban at some point. Did they not take any aspect of recruiting with them?

I think I read somewhere he decommitted after an in home from Miami, so that is probably why they are getting the predictions right now.

You should see his DT, S, and LB recruiting.I've told other gators about his shite recruiting on defense. I was told I was retarded and not a real fan. He won the East they said!! UF will be in a worse spot When he leaves than when He arrived. He's our Dooley. A below average coach and terrible recruiter. We're using non on field assistant staff to recruit because Mac hasn't hired a LB coach or an OL coach. The LB job has been open almost 6 weeks and the OL job since Summers was interviewing other places 3 weeks ago. Just trust me is what he's saying to recruits. It's a shite show.

That is baffling. How can you not close on a new POSITION coach with 2 months to NSD (when he was gone) in 6 weeks???
Looking at decommit list it says 3 DTs decommitted in a matter of a month's span late last year, wow.

I'm really skeptical but there are rumors on various Florida boards that we could sign double digit 4 stars on signing day and end with a top 10 class.

I dont even get excited when i see we received a commitment anymore. I knows its gonna be a former western Kentucky commit that is down to us, purdue and rutgers or some shot like that. At firdt butch could sell we had no talent, then he had talent and got beat by 2 of the worst teams in the conferenxe and now noone wants to jump on his purple faced cliche spitting bullshite train anymore. I bet he watches that row your boat guy from western michigan's pre game speeches and jerks off.

it has been my experience (covering 5 decades) that when FSU is kicking arse recruiting FU struggles and vice-versa.

As to OP - UF recruiting is a shite show now. Lots of sunshine pumping about an epic close, but I don't see why anyone would believe that, down 2 position coaches and essentially recruiting with staffers.
We will know soon though.

Word is that James Robinson was busted for possession of marijuana before his official to Ohio State last weekend. He's been crossed off of their list.
