It's normal to start getting aggravated with this dude. How long will this diva wait and his gold digging uncle.

What is Seaton doing in this situation that makes him a diva? He is using his leverage to get the best deal and be in the best situation he can. He's not saying anything publicly to my knowledge. Lane has put in the effort, and we will make a strong offer. Just have to wait at this point.

it's not JUUST money

Exactly! Maybe he is seeing which scheme fits his style best too. The money will be close from all the big schools, and it's more than likely a 1 year deal before he is a 1st round pick.

I say time to move on

Why is it time to move on? Seaton is taking his time to evaluate all options and LSU is doing everything they can to get him. It's not like he is playing games like some recruits. Gotta like our chances with the effort Lane is putting in.
Brad Davis was very well liked even if his coaching wasn't up to par. That played a big role in this I reckon

So...he's wanting what he thinks is best for his brother/client?

That's not what is happening here. They are saying that if you want Sam, you have to sign other players Dallin represents. That is not doing what is best for your client/brother. That is looking out for your own pockets as the ride along players are likely not worth the asking price.
Tulane hiring Frank as HC would have helped LSU tremendously. Frank is a terrible HC and would tank Tulane. It also would have let him depart on good terms to get a promotion.

They would definitely get more talent out of NOLA, but I doubt they would win battles for guys we really want.

There's a reason no one is clamoring for Frank as anything other than a RB coach.

That's a solid staff, but I hope Wolford is just an analyst based on what Kentucky fans are saying.

If we add a S coach, who would he the odd man out for off campus recruiting?

Is the HC position at Tulane better than the DC job at LSU assuming they are strong contenders for the next few years?

I would say that it has the better chance of getting an elite job over staying a coordinator based on this cycle of hires.

What stupid idea?

This is why its stupid. Hes not going to be considered by anyone.

On July 7, 2023, Fitzgerald was suspended for two weeks by university president Michael H. Schill after an independent investigation conducted by law firm Arent Fox Schiff confirmed allegations made by a player in November 2022 that hazing, including assaults by varsity players, occurred while Fitzgerald was aware and made hand gestures that indicated that freshman players should be physically and sexually assaulted for poor performance.

The sexual assaults included acts such as being dry-humped by groups of upperclassmen, being forced to enter team showers through parallel lines of spinning naked teammates to resemble a carwash, and being compelled to perform a center-to-quarterback snapping of a football while naked. The accuser said that he believed that "Everyone would just be looking at each other and be like 'bro, Fitz knows about this,' because you wouldn't take that action otherwise".

Investigator Maggie Hickey, who was formerly an Illinois inspector general, stated that the Wildcat players accusations were "largely supported by evidence." On July 10, 2023, Fitzgerald was fired amid the allegations.

Why, because he’s 6-1 at a Louisiana school? I don’t get it.

He also did a great job at turning things around at Troy. People arent saying he should be the front-runner, but he's not a bad hire either at the end of the day. Same goes for Golesh from USF.

I don't think we have to get someone with P4 experience for the hire to work out. Coaching hires are a crapshoot anyway.
Dillingham went to ASU and it's his hometown. He should be moved to the "Why would they leave their alma mater?" Section. SIAP

The only way this works is if LSU gets a really high percentage of the gate if it's at the Dome which I don't believe Tulane was willing to agree to in the past. And LSU won't agree to a multiyear commitment to play in Yulman.

Even then Tulane doesn't make sense unless they move to a P4 conference. We have to play an additional P4 team and those are usually home and homes or neural sites. LSU isn't going to give up home games to go play in NOLA. Getting the home schedule to work in years with 5 SEC away games, Tulane, and a random P4 team would be a chore.

Its doable, but not worth it when most LSU fans dont see this as a rivalry.

Any particular spots downtown or around campus that are the must sees visitors? That or any traditions that happen outside the stadium?

Really looking forward to the trip and thanks for the info!
Why not? Early commits have a much higher chance of sticking even with NIL. He is from Louisiana, and we have pulled in several recruits in the top 100 in the NIL era.

There’s no reason to be negative about the commitment at this point. Some of y’all need to learn to enjoy good news when it comes.
Why do you think this is a good idea?

Having animosity amongst the team is a great way for thing to turn south quickly when we lose a game or two. It makes way more sense for the team to bond and have each other's backs.
I'm pretty sure Pitch 25 is family friendly. It's not too far from the stadium and it a good spot to watch othet games especially soccer. There's a solid burger place nearby called Rodeo Goat too.

I can't think of any coach that has said "I want to be a coordinator for my whole life" and leave it at that.

There aren’t many, but some guys are more than happy to just be a coordinator and not have the heat that a head coach takes. Bud Foster and Phil Parker are two good examples. I
Today was the most calm signing day I can remember. Everything went as expected. Landing Ricks tomorrow would really tie things together nicely.

Is Brian Polian the worst coordinator of any unit in the country?

Our special teams are terrible and need to be fixed, but no he isn’t the worst coordinator in the country. That “honor” goes to Brian Ferentz.
Tennesse has definitely played more high end opponents, and I can see arguments that they are better than LSU going forward, but it’s hard to say they’re better right now when all of the advanced metric are saying LSU is better.

Is being 2-2 in Q1&2 games better than being 4-0? Tough to say at this point when we don’t have all the data. It will all sort itself out quickly for LSU once the Auburn game tips off.
