Only 7 of Bama's 23 Commits from Alabama? Does that worry anyone?

Awesome class. Simply amazing. Congratulations on getting the #1 class for like the 6th year in a row or something. Top notch.
Does it bother Bama fans at all that Saban is getting so many guys from out of state, though? Do you ever worry about a mercenary mentality developing where players just see going to Bama as a way to get to the NFL?
I think that has happened with LSU some and has led to guys leaving early. Alabama has probably handled this better than most.
Personally, I'd love to see the class be at least half and half of in state and out of state guys. Not everyone can be a starter right away and you want those guys who have the right perspective.

Why would they care? They are literally cherry picking talent. They miss on a few here and there, but they hit way more than they miss on.

Probably worries a lot of people. They aren't Bama fans, though.

Not an Alabama fan, but I feel that in state kids are more likely to stay a full four years. Could be wrong about that, but kids who grow up rooting for an in state school seem more loyal to the school.
I do not think it is a worrying trend --- except for the fact that most good out of state guys will probably leave in three years.

Not really, so long as they are four and five stars. The seven you mention are really, really special. Alabama is a pretty small state, so seven top recruits in a top recruiting class is fine with me.

Their talent is ridiculous. I am not doubting that.
I am just wondering how top talent from out of state when it comprises 70% of your class functions overall? There are intangibles in college football and it seems like local kids seem to have more loyalty.
But, like I said, if anyone can make it work, it is Saban and Alabama. Just wondering how Bama fans think about it.
As for me, I love it when LSU recruits nationally, but I'd rather take a Louisiana kid if I had my choice and the talent was comparable.

Plus they have to share the in state pool with Auburn, plus if guys leave early there is 2-3 elite talents to step in at almost every position. What Saban is doing with an 85 scholly limit will never be done again.

Wasn't a really strong year for instate talent. When Alabama has loaded classes saban and staff hammer the state pretty hard. That said I'll take a 5* from Miami over a 4* from montgomery. As long as the roster is 35-40% instate kids I like our recruiting plan. Go after the best players, period. When you sign the top class every year you can better afford to lose guys to the NFL. Besides, a lot of our early entries have been in state kids.

Not at all, there's only so much Bama can get out of instate talent. Alabama as a state is undervalued for their talent, but it's still not riddled with it either like a CA or FL. Split that with Auburn, and there's less top prospects to sign.
2016 and 2017 will be HUGE instate years, especially the latter. Talk there will be a half dozen top 100 players in the 2017 class.

It's a decent question, and he paid Bama a lot of compliments. Stop being a defensive pussy or confine it to the Rant for fricks sake.

Geez, man. It was a legitimate question. I knew that I had to compliment Bama up one side and down the other to even ask it. But, I looked at Bama's class for the first time and saw all of the out of state commits and really wondered how Bama fans felt about it.
I am not at all saying that Bama's class has a problem. It is amazing. But, this HAS been a topic of discussion among LSU fans over the past few years and feelings are mixed.
I LOVE in state players. Just wondering what Bama fans think.
So sensitive.

What do even have to be defensive about? This thread is retarded. Not a single Bama fan should be worried. Why should we be? Because instate are more loyal and these out of state bros are gonna leave UA high and dry? Really?
I couldn't give a frick if our entire class was made up of kids from Alaska. Talent is literally the only thing that matters. Not what state they slid out of their moms vaginia in.

Who cares? Why would it worry us to have another likely #1 class?
Dear God we can't do anything right.

That because you LSU fans are psychos about instate kids and recruiting. Don't project your insecurities on our recruiting class

Every kid that leaves LA is automatically a classless, loser, tPOS. You'd think it would be a good thing to get out of that shithole.

States like Georgia, or the peninsula state directly below Georgia, cherry pick players. The ones like bamer must go out of state.
