Holstein actually played pretty poorly with 3 turnovers. He's a sitting duck in the pocket with very little mobility when pressured. If you're trying to shite on Walker Howard, I can tell you from watching both play, they aren't in the same league.

There’s a reason one moved across the state for a chance to play. Eli is very good but nowhere near the talent of Walker. Anyone who’s bias or non bias can see that

How did STM do this year?

Let's see how walker and eli do head to head in college?

Bump this thread then.

We are very happy with Eli as our 2023 QB recruit and him winning the 5A state championship as a JR is icing on the cake. I think both Walker and Eli are better than Arch Manning 100%.

Eli is a different QB than Walker Howard and more of a NFL prospect.

If you compare their stats, they are very close to each other. Biggest difference is that Eli went undefeated in 5A and won a State Title while Walker lost 5 games in 4A. And Eli is one class younger.

Personally, I prefer Eli given he is younger and has another year to develop as a HS QB. They are basically the same athletically. Both run 4.6s in 40yard while Eli has 3 inches on Walker in the vertical. Thing I LOVE is Eli's size. He would bulldoze over Walker being about 25 lbs heavier and 3 inches taller. So Eli possesses superior physical size and NFL scouts are gonna keep a close eye on his progression in Aggieland.

Eli likely will be ranked a 5-star next year. Walker should be a good one for LSU. Be great to see how they progress. I do believe Conner Weigman is a better prospect than either Eli and Walker but that is splitting hairs.

Just glad we hopefully don't have to run Zach Calzada out on the field next year! If we see him, we are a 8-4 or 9-3 team...kid just isn't very good and the entire team has to play at an elite level to hide Zach's weaknesses and poor decisions.

Your post is full of nonsense and stupid bias. I've watched both play in person and there's really not a comparison. Walker is a cut above not just according to me, but all of the services. Walker also went undefeated as a junior and won a title. He broke his ankle early in his senior year and never fully got healthy. Hope you're around here in 2-3 years to see how foolish you sound.

It’s clear you haven’t actually seen either of them play.

Lindsey Scott now plays QB at Nichols and got benched at the end of the season. Zachary is a great high school program. Just because he won a title doesn’t say anything about how great Eli is.

Also St. Thomas More doesn’t play in class 4A. They are in Division II.

you don’t make many intelligent post on the forum.

Damn LSU fans are so very sensitive! Always viewing the world through obscured glasses. Sure Walker is the best...sure, sure. Agreed, let's wait and see who grades out higher their senior year. So please bookmark this thread.

So LSU, please share the facts then? Not your emotions and feelings. I shared some facts about 40 yard times, vertical, passing statistics, etc. Not a single fact that I have found supports the emotionally charged comments that Walker is far better.

Show me data or statistics please??????? If not, quit being uneducated LSU fans. Always emotionally charged and defensive.

Ok, I know this is a tough acadmeic challenge. I can help you get started:

Howard vs Holstein Career Stats:

Pass yards = 3221 yd vs 3307
TDs = 37 vs 30
Completions = 207 vs 211
Attempts = 317 vs 317
INTs = 5 vs 6

So Eli is a JUNIOR. He has almost identical stats as the SENIOR while being slightly faster and significantly physically bigger.

Again LSU fans, appears you are living under a swamp rock.

Try to bring some facts. I have watched them both and to think Walker is superior is simply a biased and weak minded view.

Am I stating Eli is world's better? NO. But I am saying I believe he has much more upside and is absolutely an ideal NFL talent.

Quit reading into things. And sorry if I am better at accessing and understanding facts.

We do realize that LSU was recruiting Eli UNTIL he committed to A&M. Eli was preferred over Walker by LSU's own recruiters! Oh....that's right, you forgot about that.

Finally while the tears and anger swell. Let's talk who was heavily recruiting Eli vs Walker.

Eli had Ags, Bama, LSU, Georgia,and OSU all going after him.

Walker had some great offers including A&M and LSU and Bama but he was NOT as highly recruited as Eli.

Just stating the facts here. Hate me for it all you want.

Your opinion is that Eli is better. But some of the things that lead you to that opinion seem to be off. Like the fact that Walker does not play in class 4A

I didn’t forget about that because I never knew that. That’s for the insight. You must be part of the LSU recruiting staff.

So a 4 year catholic HS with roughly 1000 total students is what? That is absolutely a 4A school in most states.

Certainly appears to be a 4A school? Please educate me.

If that's why you hate my posting, all I can do is continue to laugh. I can only help educate those who have the minds to learn.

Complain about what MIGHT be a minor error but ignore the compounding facts. Sure, sure...that is the Tiger way! Good luck with that in life.

So basically whatever coach you have is the best. Each position player is the best. Throw all data, statistics and professional evaluations out the door and listen to swamp logic. Right? Lol.

Louisiana public schools and private schools are divided into separate divisions/classes.

The “compounding facts” are what you have made up in your head.

If your method of scouting was proven the first round pick in the NFL draft would never be a miss.

Guys calm down. I heard that during Eli’s visit at LSU Brian Kelly gave Eli a Guinness, put on Garth Brooks greatest hits and tried to twerk on him. Turns out it was just not his cup of tea, not that there’s anything wrong with that. You gotta cast a wide net, some recruits will bite on that pitch and some won’t.

If Eli Holstein is the starting QB for A&M, y'all are in trouble. You just saw the college version of him enter the portal today. Kid has a nice arm, but his mobility is not good and has difficulty operating when conditions in the pocket aren't ideal.
