At any rate, whether or not you want to spin this as not a big loss making him move on...Bielema WANTING to lose what might be his only chance of a good WR on the roster next season is absolutely laughable. Arkansas didn't have even 1 what anyone would call good WR on the roster this season. Your next WR commit down is a mid-3 star

Im not arguing about Hill being a need, because I would sure love to have him, but we hauled in some WRs in last years class and should be fine.

JoJo was a 4 star who redshirted this season. Kendrick Edwards, who saw playing time this season and is a tall physical WR. Jared Cornelius who came from Evangel and contributed quite a bit, even returning punts for us. Cody Hollister came in and contributed quite a bit as well.

Losing Hill isn't like losing someone from another position. We return our best deep threat and still have our TE's.

If we lose him, yes it kind of sucks. Though, it doesn't mean this class isn't a success.

Weird that CJ's star is rising after a pretty crappy year.

amazing how this thread got so big...

Hill committed at the state hall of fame, much fanfare..

He Decommitted following the loss or attrition of Chaney (which I an happy about, he herp da derped too much) and hasn't a clue who his next OC is. He wants to play in an offense that uses WR for more than blocking. Accordingly to who the next OC is will have a lot to do with his decision. His best two friends in Football are at Arkansas. We shall see, but one kid doesn't make or break a team built like ours. Huge linemen, great Running backs, Our D is becoming something to reckon with. Would love to have him, but the drama has gotten out of hand for sure.

We got the #1 player in the state, who was also a D lineman.

Players that go to Bama over Ark are generally a good thing for Arkansas because they end up sucking arse and transferring out within 2-3 years.

When we lost Michael Dyer we got Knile Davis. We lost Kiehl Frazier but got Brandon Allen. We lost Altee Tenpenny but got Alex Collins.

I want him but it's not the end of the world

You can only go by the data you have.

The plural use of transfer is certainly hyperbole. Alabama had not signed a kid from Arkansas since Harold James in the 2000 class, prior to Altee Tenpenny. Josh Frazier just got on campus. K.J. Hill may go to Ohio State for all we know.

So what's the deal? Hill isn't a take for Bama anymore? You guys have 1 WR spot, correct? Waiting on 1 of Charlot/Cager?

Oh, I think he's defintely a take. Otherwise I don't feel he decommits from Arkansas the same weekend he's on an official to Alabama. But it is likely between Hill, Charlot, and Cager for a final WR spot.

Actually I believe we end up with Charlot and one of R Davis, L Cager, or Hill.

We appear to have 4 spots open in the soon to be future.

Weird. I thought Bama only had 1 spot for a WR. Good players to choose from. I don't think Davis is really in play for you guys, but we will see. Hopefully you guys get Charlot.

Shocking, Montez Peterson speaking for KJ once again. Dude is pathetic living through KJ, used him to get a 3 day vacation.

quote:

"It was mind-blowing," said Montez Peterson, Hill's stepfather. "It's 'Bama. K.J. wasn't able to stay but one full day because he had to go to Washington D.C. that Sunday morning and we didn't really get there until 3 in the morning that Saturday because he had a game that Friday."

Hill's family stayed behind in Tuscaloosa and finished off the official visit. Peterson said one nice surprise was meeting Terry Saban, head coach Nick Saban's wife.
