In other words his mommy said -
“We’ve seen Berry play and all the scouts, analysts, coaches, and players meant what they said. They said Berry was the BEST and meant it.”

Lindsey and Berry both have higher ceilings than Simon. The experts have already said this much based on Berry’s ranking and the way Lindsey shot up the rankings. I know you’re stuck on everyone’s size, but kids do get bigger in college fyi.

Lindsey does not have more upside than Simon. That is simply not true. A fan myth

Is this a joke? You think Simon is better than the #1 back in the country in Berry?

Also as a side note, Lindsey is actually ranked ahead of Simon now on 247 and has been rising fast on both on3 and 247. He's still behind Simon on on3, but not by much. Seems both sites see them as pretty equals, with Berry being ranked at the very top.

Frank Wilson must think so or he wouldn’t have taken his pledge before Simon committed anywhere. Lindsey has a running style similar to Demarco Murray on film and has already clocked a 10.8 100m time. Simon is a very good player but he’s closer to his ceiling than the other two. Lindsey has the frame to easily play at 210-215 in college. I like Lindsey more due to his ability to take it the distance from anywhere on the field.

As much as you want Berry to be a WR, he's a RB, and is the best back in the state, not Simon.

Berry is very obviously an athletic stud. But Simon is a better RB.

And it’s not even really a contest between him & Lindsey. He is a much better RB than Lindsey. That’s not an insult to Lindsey, he is just a back burner type.

And I don’t pay attention to site rankings anymore. They do not watch kids or put in effort to scout kids like they used to.

Not really. He was less of a priority than Berry.

He'd have Durham and Berry in front of him.

We got who we wanted. Not that Simon wasn’t a take. Rb’s don’t always want to be in a full Rb room. (Faulk, Collins, Mealey……….Anthony Thomas) Jackson will be a stud, IMO. Williams gets action because he is solid at the little things. Who knows about Holly? Lest we forget that we have a kid coming in from Duncanville that, by all accounts, is arguably the top player in that class and a “disrespected” high 4*. We wanted Berry, we got him. Lindsey is the cherry on top.

Keep in mind it’s a long way from signing day. A lot can happen. Still, it feels like the gap between Lindsay and Simon was close enough the coaches decided to go with the player who hungered to be a Tiger. With Lindsey it was less a business decision.

Now do how many draft picks Frank has had
Certainly not 5 within the past two years

Now, if we are talking about 10 years ago when these current prospects were 7 or 8 years old? The list is a little longer, but only a couple of names would really jump off the page. A few of those were barely even coached by Frank, just recruited.

Huh? Berry is literally ranked the #1 RB in the entire country. And thats not as an "athlete" thats as the ridiculous moves he has as a RB.

Except both 247 and on3 pretty much see Lindsey and Simon as equals. 247 has Lindsey ranked a little higher, on3 has Simon ranked a little higher.

And here's the cop out

I do remember now your tangent you went off on because Simon was "bigger" than Berry and Lindsey despite all 3 of them being within less than 15 pounds of each other

This entire paragraph lets me know you’re completely full of shite. Lindsey, a top 10 RB nationally, isn’t on anyone’s “back burner”. No one even knew who he was until after last football season. His offer list will continue to grow this summer with more exposure. It’s fine to like Simon, but Frank Wilson, the LSU scouting department, and people who rank kids at On3 and 247 for a living disagree with your wide gap between the two. Despite you thinking they don’t put in enough hours scouting.
