When I was 25, I worked for an industry leader in my trade, and I was being groomed for management.
I had been chosen as the corporate liason to bring issues in the shop before management (it paid and extra 2 dollars an hour) and I got a plasma TV and cable put in the break room, got our lunch breaks changed so they automatically deducted 30 minutes from our time so we didn't have to bother with clocking in and out (and surprisingly people didn't abuse the privilege) shite like that.

All I had to do was keep things on an even keel, and I would have been off my tools within the next 3 years.

The GM and I became pretty good friends, BBQ'ing at each other's houses on the weekends, that kind of shite.

Well, I let the boundaries get blurred, and one day I threw it all away.

I have stomach issues from an injury, and 1 day I had an embarrassing issue, I trusted a fart when I shouldnt have, and I didn't want anyone to find out.

So I quickly poked my head in his office and said I had a small emergency and that I needed to go home for a little while, and didn't wait for his response and made a bee line for the exit.

Well, he wanted an explanation, which was well within his rights and expectations. He followed me and caught up quickly because I was duck walking with shite running down my leg.

He stopped me and asked me what was going on,, and instead of telling him, I flashed out and yelled at him to quit stalking me and to leave me the frick alone.

He doesn't know I have shite running down my leg. He just knows Ii was acting super weird, and now I'm cussing at him and embarrassing him in front of other employees.

He tells me to get into his office and explain myself, but my pride wouldn't allow it, and I told him to go frick himself.

He told me that if I left I would be considered walking out and that I would be fired, and I told him frick you, I quit.

All because 25 year old me and my dumbass pride couldn't tell him that iI shite myself.

If I would have, at many different opportunities just gave him even the vaguest explanation, I'd still be there, and would probably be a part of corporate making 2 or 300k a year, but instead I'm still making parts, making someone else rich, and will probably never have that kind of opportunity again.

So yeah, i choked my arse off and it's maybe my biggest professional regret. Not maybe. It absolutely is.

I ended up seeing him years later at a Central High School football game. We got to talking and I ended up telling him what really happened.

He went on to become an executive vice president and still works for that company to this day.

It was funny at that point, but he went on to tell me all the plans management had for me, and how a wet fart snuffed out the lkind of life I would kill for now.

He confirmed that I was less than a year out from a life changing promotion and opportunity.

It didn't make me feel better.

In college, digging under cracked foundations to jack them up. As in digging with shovels, deep enough under slabs to pour a little concrete on rebar, then jack the corner of the slab up until it meets up with the rest of the foundation, then adding permanent support to keep it there.

I was a supervisor for a company that did that. I wasn't even digging and it sucked, the owner was full on insane. Hardly the shittiest I've ever had though.

The owner, after he got comfortable around me made one of my responsibilities procuring hookers for him, among many other weird and questionable things.

One of the hookers I found on Craigslist for him ended up being hired as his personal assistant, and the last I heard he elevated her to his business manager.

She got him audited by the IRS, but she blows him on demand, so I guess he's got his priorities in the right place
Machinist at a place where they rebuilt industrial electrical motors.
No ac, nothing to move the air thru the shop, antique equipment that had been crashed every conceivable way, parts had .0005 of an inch tolerance that their machines couldn't hold, so you had to get em as close as you were comfortable with then polish them to size, shiit pay, incompetent management, just everything was shite.

It did make me a lot better at my job, but I don't even put that job on my resume. I don't want a prospective employer to know I would put up with the kind of bullshite.

I suppose he thinks we should take him hostage or something.
Why do LSU fans hate their incumbent starting QB ? Why is the incumbent starting QB's backup LSU fan's favorite player ?

It's mystifying to me.
This what I find most aggravating about rantards that come over to the recruiting board.
Do they come over here just to shite on a commitment and remind everyone that players are predominantly going to go where they get paid the most ?
They continually repeat the same shite constantly and act like they are making some big revelation that others on this board haven't even considered.
Here's a cheat sheet for those of you who do this. Most people who post on the recruiting board come here to discuss topics related to LSU and its recruitment of high school players and recently transfers.
Of course we are going to talk about kids committing and even more so about highly ranked kids committing.
Another cheat sheet is this, kids have been going to the highest bidder since the helmets were made out of leather.
If you don't like what recruiting has become, what the frick are you doing posting on the recruiting board. Go back to the Rant where you will be far less disconcerted.
Group think isn't nearly as popular over here as it on the Rant, sorry to have to be the one to break it to you

If there was in fact a conspiracy to kill Kennedy by all the different power brokers that wanted him dead, one of the most impressive feats they were able to accomplish was to get a vast majority of people completely preoccupied with LHO, and if he acted alone or not.

Who actually fired the round that killed him is far less important than who ordered it and why.

Oswald was the fall guy. I don't give a single a shite about him.

I would like to know more about those that ordered it, and those who were complicit in making it happen and in covering it up.

I know that Johnny Rosetti, Sam Giancana and Carlo Marcello were deeply involved I'm both the Kennedy and MLK assassinations, but those types are to be expected.

I'm more interested in the involvement of Alan Dulles, LBJ, the Secret Service, Aristotle Onassis etc etc etc.

I keep hearing about how LSU has the best fanbase in college baseball.
Yall seem pretty shitty to me though. It is amazing how the tenor of an entire fanbase can turn so dramatically from 1 game to the next.
Someone should do a doctoral thesis on the phenomenon.
The most ironic factor in all of is that baseball is the one sport where a single game doesn't really mean shite.
Who was better than 40 year old LeBron in 93 ? Hakeem, Dominique, Shaq, Malone, Barkley were all easily better than a 40 year old LeBron.
I didn't list Mike, because Jordan doesn't need any qualifiers, he's just better than LeBron, period.

We're going to win a close one, and it's going to propel this LSU Tigers team to a 1 loss season and championship finals appearance.

See, I cam do it too.

This case doesn't move the needle for me. Allison Rice is the big case that needs a resolution.

The only way that case gets solved is if someone speaks on it. Right now it's a stone cold whodunit.
Well, I'm a fan of the kid, and I hope he can live his dream at some point.

I’m not sure but On3 seems to have the most resources right now. That is until Shannon Terry sells it and starts a new site

Ain't it crazy how people forget he started Rivals, built it up, then sold it off and poached all the best evaluators and writers when he started 24-7, then did the same thing again with On3, and will probably do it at least once more.

Usually, i hate posts like these, but even now, unless they are extremely diehard like Harlem Berry, no super elite Louisiana guy is going to stay in Louisiana without outbiding for his services. There are no home discounts anymore.

That's an extremely cynical point of view, you being an LSU fan and all. NIL is fairly new but players have been getting paid since the helmets were made of leather, the best ones anyways.

Ever since LSU brought the magic back in trend that began with Kevin Faulk, LSU has done far better job in keeping their best players than any other school from any other state in the country.

There will always be elite kids from Louisiana that were only ever going to attend LSU.

It's the University's responsibility to reward that loyalty with their own and take care of their kids, and that's what this Rev share does.

This recruiting class is going to be the first in which the new Rev share changes go into effect and I'm extremely curious to see what happens to collectives.

However, if it becomes something where you're gonna make about the same amount of money, no matter what school you go to, then that's even more advantageous for LSU and the talent in Louisiana.

Not to go off on any more of a tangent, but I really hope what rec share accomplishes a minimum and maximum pay sliding scale based off of position, for each year you attend any school.

For example, the absolute max pay would be for like a 5th year starting QB with at least 1 years experience starting.

The minimum pay would be for like a true frosh punter or whatever. Just some type of order in all the chaos and pay for play that we have now.

I just feel like the freedom these collectives have enjoyed are not going to be just given up freely. It'd created a new economy and given new roles and positions for a lot of people, none of whom are going to want to see this part of the college game removed.

Well, tangent over.
Is Buckeye self esteem so low that your fan base has taken the role of white knight for ND in order to make your Natty more valid ?

I never thought I'd see the day where OSU is propping up ND, but here we are. This new landscape of college football has created some strange bedfellows.

ND trailed by 8 points with a minute left. That's a single possession

You are a fricking idiot. ND got skull drug. OSU scored 31 unanswered points, then went into chew the clock mode. Theu just wanted to get home to their parade.

Theu could have scored 56 if they wanted to. Get the ND nuts out your mouth bro.
Nope, after next year he will be though.
