If so who gets the #1 class? LSU? Ohio St? UGA?

I think UGA is gonna make a strong run at it.

Bama still has Davis, Wilson and Hardman out there. Those 3 will make them have a HUGE jump up to 285.26 points...and those wouldn't be the last 3 in their class.

LSU currently at #1 is expected to see Willie Allen commit next, that would jump LSU from 281.01 to 285.98. So basically right in line with Bama. At that point LSU would have 21 commits to Bama's 20 commits, so it's going to be REALLY close. What can seal it for LSU is if they flip a top QB like Haskins. If they dont then it's going to be a super close race.

I mean I'm asking. If you disagree tell me who you think you're gonna get. I don't know that much about bama's remaining targets.

I think UGA gets Brown, Hardman, Robertson, and Callaway at least which puts them at 295 or somewhere around there.

UGA is way up there for having so many spots still to fill. Could go either way really.

In play (not going to get all or even most, but in the hunt):

Mecole Hardman
Derrick Brown
Demetris Robertson
Lyndell Wilson
Michail Carter
Marquez Callaway
Brian Burns
EJ Price
Nigel Warrior

etc.

Ole miss, while I'm not a big fan, does currently have Little and Patterson. If the bag man adds on Gary thats 3 of the top 5 players in the nation.

I seriously doubt this happens but it is not outside the realm of possibility because we are in the final 2 or 3 and lead for a lot of these names that OM could finish with:

Gary
Juarez
Simmons
D. Anderson
S. Carter

If we finish with those we will be up there and probably #1. Is this going to happen? Most likely not.

Is LSU still expected to get Allen, Lawrence, and Savion? What about Fulton?

Actually I think LSU holds on to the top spot and it may not even be close.

Allen & Lawrence are supposed to be locks.

Did you mean Mullen instead of Smith? Smith has been a long time commit?

They are thinking Mullen or Fulton will commit, not likely both.

The biggest questions for LSU right now are:

1. Will a big time QB commit like Haskins or will it be a lesser name?

2. What surprise commits could LSU see late? Starting to turn up the heat on guys like Nigel Warrior, Jamel Cook and Jared Mayden.

Only thing close to a lock there is Davis.

I think Wilson ends up at Florida (50/50 w/ Bama)

Hardman ends up at Georgia.

Not saying they land all 3 but are considered the favorite IMO. I think Wilson has been trolling UF hard.

To me Georgia is the team to watch. If they close with who they are expected to, they should make a push for #1. If I had to bet though, Bama will close strong and flip one or two players to end up #1. Winning another national championship will only help. If things going exceptionally well for us, we could make a push for a top 3 spot, but we will need some of our 3* players to get a 4th and get Gary and Juarez which I don't think we get either.

OSU will almost certainly NOT be #1, and likely not top 5 based on just not having the room. I think they can take 22-23

There's a pretty good chance UGA ends up with Brown, Hardman, Robertson, And price. Wilson, Warrior, or Callaway could put us over the top.

But I expect us to land about half of those, because we're WAUGA.

could be a special year. And it will probably be our best ever recruiting class. All after we fired our coach and our new HC is coaching elsewhere.

Uga would be the favorite for Hardman IMO. He named Bama his leader but I would consider that alot like Ben Davis naming Georgia his leader. Hardman has a strong pull to UGA and lots of friends already committed.

What a weird recruiting year for Bama. Only 15 commits going into the home stretch, rampant decommits, and long time "locks" (Wilson/Davis) declaring favorites elsewhere.

Saban hasn't had disorder rule his recruiting classes so perhaps there is a grand plan in place for a Bobby Bowden type finish. That has not been the norm for Bama for quite so'e time though. In the Fran/Shula years this is where we went heavy on late offers to uncommitted 3 star players who became hot commodities as teams filled out their classes to 25-30 players. Recruiting services just called them "blue chip" players in headlines - lol.

You'd think NFL defections and graduations this year would have some players at key positions (LB, safety, DE, OL) drooling to come in and contribute as true freshman, so it isn't like Bama can't offer playing time.

We shall see

Alabama will probably have a 2010 type recruiting class. It seems that our focus is on winning the title this year, and that is fine by me. Besides, the 2017 class looks to be legit, and I could see us getting back to #1 next year.
