Tennessee and UGA are expected to be the favorites for the landing spot.

I don't have X but I heard Kiffin re-X'ed something about him entering the portal.

What a weird development.
I mean... all of the aggies assured us that the only reason he went to a&m is because it was his lifelong dream to play for a team like those fightin' texas aggies, and nothing to do with money whatsover...

Actually, the strangest thing about it is that his family is in the Woodlands and potentially still moving to College Station despite his testing the Free Agency market.
He seems like a great young man and is obviously getting top bids. He should do what is right for himself. All these guys are one bad injury away from not realizing their potential.

I think he would have been entering the portal this off-season regardless to try to get more money. The difference is we probably had a much better shot at keeping him with Robinson on staff vs now

Quote from an interview with his Dad on 247.
quote:
New head coach Mike Elko and the Aggies remain in the picture moving forward for Nolen who will see what else is out there.
"Most definitely," the elder Nolen said. "That was home. That is home. I think part of it is, nothing is really set in stone at A&M. They don't know exactly what they're going to do. They haven't announced an OC, they haven't announced a DC. They have Elko, that was a great hire if you ask my opinion."
Nolen hasn't officially gone in the portal yet. His family is expected to meet with Elko on Monday and we'll see what happens beyond that.

I think Elko will be able to hold down the fort. I think he is a good stopgap until they find a long term solution.
In "Aggieland".

He reached out to Tennessee about a week ago but there is no interest there. Probably asking for a ridiculous amount plus the perceived baggage of being named in the Pruitt stuff.

It's true, but Nolan is just seizing an opportunity to check the market before negotiates with A&M's current NIL offerings.
Somebody will bite, but he's not going to see the quality of responses I think he's expecting. I'd bet he stays with A&M and I'd bet it ends up being a bad deal for the Ags.
