A Florida writer makes a comment about Zach Evans (interesting)

"Regarding Evans visit destination for the final weekend before National Signing Day, we hear the Georgia Bulldogs are likely to receive that visit. There has been word that UGA still remains in contact with Evans, the school he had originally planned to sign with in December. Sources close to UF believe UGA will be final destination. As you know though, this recruitment has plenty of wild twists and turns."

Asks out of his LOI just to go back? I guess it’s not that surprising at this point.

So much for the “we kicked him to the curb” line that was coming from UGA posters.

His UF visit has been canceled.

Sure some say that and some UGA fans don’t want him but I would say about 70% of the fanbase still wants Evans provided he can mature and get with the program and discipline.
The fact remains Evans wanted to be a Dawg in September when he was originally supposed to commit (and had the blow-up with HS coach) and then had the 2nd blowup with HS coach right after signing his LOI with UGA.
Clearly Evans wants UGA
and
UGA wants Evans (w/ conditions)
Hope it works out for the kid wherever he ends up. Always want to see a young man reach his potential in life as well as football.

Mind posting a link to those? I am curious who was saying that.
What I saw was people, myself included, wondering if he was worth all the drama, and hoped we got another RB.
If you'll provide me with a link I will look up the posters that said Georgia "kicked him to the curb".

From the link, from UGA posters:

How can Mullen “throw it in Smart’s face” when Kirby has already passed on the kid.

Something scared Kirby off

I thought that was obvious. It was obviously false (bullshite, really) that UGA let Evans out of his LOI because Kirby "passed on him" because something about Evans "scared Kirby off."

Nah good riddance. We didn't kick him to the curb, he simply got cold feet at the last minute but it opened enough eyes that he might not be worth the trouble. Personally I hope Ole Miss lands him. Him and Kiffin would be a ticking time bomb.

Problem is uga taking him down the road doesn’t prove you right about what happened in the past.

Unless I’m mistaken the only significance NSD has for Evans is that it may eliminate some spots for him at certain schools if they fill up scholarships. He can’t sign and I’m pretty sure it’s too late for him to enroll anywhere. This is going to drag out into the summer

He can still enroll at Ole Miss but I think Monday is the last day so if he's not enrolled come Monday, then he will be in Athens.

Why will he be in Athens?

I think OM coaching staff has given him the condition that he enrolls now or cut bait.
I guess that's not really a definitive conclusion that he will end up in Athens although that may be the most likely place.
