This situation is similar to the Ale Kaho @ U of Washington scenario.

LOL. This is nothing like Kaho. Source loses all credibility right there.

Do you want to explain

ETA: Because I read the Kaho story and it does sound kind of similar... just not the reasons why he didn't go to the initial school. Thats the only difference.

As expected, was just told @247Sports No. 1 RB Zach Evans has been released from his NLI to Georgia "full release, no restrictions."

What's similar?

Kaho signed in December and then just asked for his release right before fall camp and enrolled at Alabama a few days later. There's a story like this every year, probably. I mean, LSU had Seth Stewart show up for 2 days before fall camp and then completely quit football.

Evans might not even have a valid LOI with Georgia (it appears that he signed it, and they held it pending his ACT score, then never submitted it). After 14 days, it was automatically voided. Now Evans is back on the market and free to sign with another team, although he probably won't because he's going to have to retake the ACT and try to get a qualifying score.

Honestly, I've never seen a recruitment quite like this one, but Bru McCoy would be a much better example than Kaho. But with both Bru and Kaho, the players changed their minds. This isn't a case where Evans is changing his mind, this is a case where Georgia said they couldn't take him.

UGA 247 said it had nothing to do with grades or ACT. If it was just ACT UGA would’ve waited for him to take it again.

there were rumors even when UGA said they had his signature that he was already second guessing it. seems like its coming from both sides. he second guessing, and georgia being scared off by the suspension

Is the implication that it was EE or bust for UGA?

Or are we assuming the worst for the discipline issues to get UGA to backoff?

Nah, we would’ve held out for him even if he couldn’t EE. Something scared Kirby off

See there... UGA didn't frick over anyone. If anyone got fricked with this recruitment it was UGA. Now we have to find a replacement.

I still think something happened here. I don't think this is cold feet, this shite is more complicated then that.

You sound salty and defensive. Nobody was even talking about you.

First off, I said "It sounded like..." but I was clear in saying I didn't know everything that was going on... so I wasn't actually accusing anyone of anything.

As for UGA they didn't get fricked out of anything. They knew the drama long before he signed LOI. They knew the shite he pulled in high school, or should have. They should have known about his academics. They should have know just about everything to do with him and still gave him a LOI to sign. And in the long run Evans cost UGA nothing more than any of the 100 kids they recruited.

Stop playing the victim and stop being dramatic about comments not even about you.

I still don't know of 1 single reason this couldn't have been done a week ago. But whatever, it worked out for everyone. Evans is probably going where he needed to in the first place, and UGA dodged a serious bullet.

First of all any negative comments abt the school are felt by the fanbase.

Secondly no one is being dramatic, I am stating that your view of the situation was fricked and defending UGA's decision.

Thirdly, these issues didn't rear their head until very late in the process for EEs

It is a done deal, so it doesn't matter. UGA kept its spot and Evans will get what he wants.
Win-Win.

And A&M lands a much-needed player. Win-win-win.

Are you saying if someone says something about lSU the LSU fan base does not get upset about it?

Yes, even here on the recruiting board. There are way too many examples. That' not saying I think you were trolling, because i don't. I honestly believe you were saying what you believed to be the truth. But to say fan bases do not get upset when a poster says something about their school is wrong.

I didn't mean to get in the middle of your argument with Sandwich, but Sandwich is 100% right.

It's not a big deal. Everybody should just drop it and move on.

There's like 20 different crystal balls for Evans now.

I've been told most are to A&M, are there any to other places now?

A&M is the logical choice. There will be immediate playing time for him there.

He’s going to A&M if he makes it in early. If not then you can basically open his recruitment up to everyone with a spot.
