Sucks, won't lie.

Oh well. We've got a deep WR room thankfully. On to the next one!

You do know he was crystal ball to Texas this whole time and only recently people thought Mizzou could swoop in

You act like Texas came out of nowhere

I can appreciate him not milking it and doing the hat sleight of hand so many kids get hard on.

Went straight to it.

But NIL means nothing is over until the ink is dry. Can’t trust anything these days.

Meh, he recognized he would've been in the shadow of LB3, Wease and Manning coming up. Good for him to go to a program where he can shine Day 1

I’m sure this would have been the reaction that you had if he went to Mizzou too

Y’all have a stacked receiver room right now, but he obviously would have been a great get.

247 said that he was already silently committed to Texas for weeks.

We all knew Texas was in the mix, but you don't get 3 "experts" flipping their predictions in the last 2 weeks for nothing. I think he became a strong MU lean recently, but hats off to Texas they stuck in there and flipped him back.

Ryan Wingo Crystal Ball Predictions as of 10/24 - 100% Mizzou

Awesome commit for Texas, but definitely filing this recruitment under the "not done until ink is on the paper" file.

Regardless of picking Texas or Missouri today, the one he didn't pick was no doubt going to recruit him all the way until NSD

The Wingo family and MU are a bad mix. They'd be better off avoiding each other in the future. Imho

I had heard rumblings that Mama wasn't thrilled with how Ray was used at MU, but thought that perhaps NIL could put that in the rearview mirror.

Ray just wasn’t very good. Couldn’t latch onto an offense desperate for some receiving talent outside of Hall.

NIL money aside, the kid will have a chance at more exposure at texas, especially since they’ll be in the spotlight while transitioning to the SEC. The beauty of it for athletes is if they aren’t happy they can jump ship any time they get ready. I’d say it was a business decision for his future.

Though anyone would like to get a 5 star player I wouldn’t sweat it, there may be better more experienced players in the portal.
