Crystal balled to Mizzou by Allen Trieu.

Steve Wiltfong crystal balled him to Texas in June after having him to Tennessee early on.

He picked up a Rivals Crystal ball by a Texas insider to Texas yesterday. Everything I’ve seen said that if WN committed to Mizzou that it’d help massively with Wingo. Should be a fun one.

The Texas rivals pick is from Geoff Ketchum,so you should assume Wingo is not going to Texas.

I think if we have a decent to good season. He will stay home.

Saw some chatter about him moving up his decision. That’d certainly be good news for Mizzou.

Hope Nwaneri and Burden help solidify him to us. What a boon 2 5*s would be.

May lead to an avalanche of other instate talent we’d want and maybe some others.

I’d love to see Mizzou lock down their state each year. Drink would need to get like 6 of the Top 10 each year. That would be a solid foundation.

If I had to put money on it, Missouri would be the pick.

Feels like errbody getting 5 stars this year. It’s great seeing more parity in recruiting.

They will now that they are giving NIL money to high schoolers

I'd love to flip the center that committed to Colorado and the Rb that committed to Notre Dame.

I dunno if either one is even open to that though.

At long last. For the sport to survive outside of the southeast, Michigan and Ohio State, it needs to spread the wealth.

It's gonna be interesting to see how all of this works out. Getting to pay them before they even sign is huge for you all.

At the same time, they could take your money and flip before they sign anything. There'd probably be a lot of pressure not to do it as that would look awful, but it's a risk.

I know that we wouldn't go higher than FSU for Bolden because at least partially, it could cause internal problems. Should Bolden get a bigger NIL deal than Malaki Starks, who is probably gonna be a first round pick?

The editor over at UGAsports has hinted that at least one of the reasons Domonic left Mizzou is because he couldn't get NIL money anywhere close to Luther B. This despite being better on the field last year by quite a bit.

It certainly does help quite a bit. I have no idea how this will all resolve, but I have feeling that this advantage is going to be short-lived. Either other states will get more liberal with the rules (HS seniors moving residency perhaps to collect pay in those states) or collectively the conferences will try to get agreement to bring some parity to the rules (note I didn’t say NCAA).

In any event, MU needs to make hay NOW while the advantage exists.

I'm sure there is quite a bit of legal footwork that prevents a flip if you opt for the money in high-school.

Sounds like Georgia is really plugged in to every school’s NIL lol crazy every guy that doesn’t choose UGA has been because of NIL.

Give it a rest, we need to go back to no trolling the recruiting board. Or every UGA melt is gonna be over NIL all season.

GA is in a position to pay existing players more money based on production rather than a couple of 5 stars that won't boost anything. They have leveled up the NIL process

There are plenty that choose to go elsewhere for reasons other than NIL. Is it odd that 3-4 players might be going elsewhere because of NIL?

I mean, NIL is legal and is a legit recruiting tool. It's no different than saying a recruit is choosing another school because he wants to stay close to home.

Here are some reasons a player might choose to go elsewhere:

1. NIL
2. Stay close to home
3. Academics
4. Better relationships with other coaches
5. Don't like the culture
6. Coaches fumbled the recruitment
7. Not a fit for Offense or Defense
8. Depth

All are legit reasons, so I'm not sure why you are shocked several might be because of NIL.

Think somebody is jealous and read a lot into a post that just wasn't there. Good luck to you all.

If I'm a parent and considering how many of the five stars don't pan out even at the college level or become high draft picks in the NFL, I'd consider telling my kid to take the highest offer if it's substantially more than the second best just based on that.

You can make the NFL without going to Bama, Georgia or errr A&M. Don't wanna upset our friend here by not including his team in the post.
