Burden was not good at blocking assignments last year. Just my opinion.

He is definitely not the best blocker. He is strong and will get better. Burden struggled sometimes on screen passes. especially on bubble screens. Part of the blocking problem on the screens was Cook holding onto the ball to long. Burden needs to become better blocker.

It certainly sounds like WR blocking has been a strong emphasis from the coaching staff in camp.

Wingo had 9 receptions for 143 yards in upset of St. Mary’s Missouri’s Class 4 #1 ranked team. St Mary’s 1st loss to a Missouri team since 2020.

I don't know if you can ever call SLUH beating St. Mary's an upset lol, they're only 4 or 5 times bigger (with 40 or 50 times the money)

When it comes to private schools in St. Louis size doesn’t matter as much as it does with public schools. I think the new MSHSAA rule is size doesn’t matter. If a private school is successful in a smaller class for a certain amount of years they can be moved up a class.

That means a small private school like Lutheran, St. Mary’s, or St. Dominic can move up a few classes. I think Valle and maybe Greenwood have been moved to 3A. It’s for all sport not just schools that are good at football.

Don’t know this for a fact, but I was talking with high school umpire and this is what he told me.

I'm aware of this but a football roster is still about 20% of St. Mary's total enrollment.

Did they start letting people recruit or did people just start doing it anyway once trinity and lutheran did(more)?

Any kid can apply for a scholarship at a private school. At public schools kids be eligible for transfer as long as when they transfer they don’t say it’s for sports.

Kid from Kickapoo tried to transfer to Glendale this summer and one of the reasons he put down was problem with Kickapoo Athletic Department. MSHSAA ruled him ineligible because one of the reasons he was transferring was for sports.

Kid is suing MSHSAA and Springfield Public schools.

I think this is one the reasons Maty Mauk’s dad got fired from Glendale a week before the 1st game.

Imagine hoping a recovering alcoholic relapses so your college football team has a better shot at landing an 18 year old

Sark is a scumbag multimillionaire, I can wish ill will on him if I please. Did you see him lose his shite on that assistant who held him back before their bowl game last year? Guy is an unhinged psycho and it’s only a matter of when the wheels falls off again

not according to this texas writer:

Geoff Ketchum
@gkketch

If Ryan Wingo needed a reason to cement a decision to go to Texas, seeing the Missouri fans rush the field for beating Kansas State should probably do it.
