It's not career wise. The Briles offense has yet to produce a good NFL caliber QB. He might put up gawdy college stats but if the end goal is the NFL....goodluck

Offered by some elite programs. Makes sense to open it back up now and evaluate options.

Probably saw Weigman's highlight reel and didn't want to ride the pine until his senior year. Hate to lose him, but it's a smart move on his part to look elsewhere.

Or he saw Jimbo’s development of QB’s lately and made a business decision

Holstein is the best QB in LA, so that would make him better than Arch

What does somebody’s drafting of potential have anything to do with jimbos development of him? Do you think jumbo did a good job developing him?

Is this a real question?

You act like the NFL drafts solely based on how people play on the field.

Christian Hackenberg was a 2nd round pick and had a career passer rating of 121 with 56% completion in college. He sucked, but still went in the 2nd round.

It’s like people don’t understand how the draft works. The ole saying that they’ll find you regardless of where you go to school rings true. But where you went to school and who your coaches are can greatly impact your draft position and money earned

before jimbo: 108.8 qb rating while completing 51% of his passes and barely throwing more TDs and picks

After jimbo: had his qb rating over 145, completed over 63% of his passes, strong TD to INT ratio, and got his arse drafted

Youre right. He did an awful job developing him

This was his true freshman year where he was forced into action due to injury to starter.

That was his final year, you forgot the 2 other years under Jimbo where he had QB ratings in the low-mid 130 range and a combined completion percentage under 60% under Jimbo. Also that final year was nothing to write home about, you say "over 145" like that's good, it was 146.9 which is extremely average. Kell Mond got better most every year at A&M as one would expect of most QBs, but he never really made any kind of leap into "wow, he's good" territory. So basically under Jimbo he edged up ever so slightly but never became anything more than average. He never led a good offense or anything of the sort at A&M.

He went from completely and totally unplayable to average and a capable game manager who saw an immediate increase in his production and efficiency his very first year under Jimbo

Good to know the literal only way a coach can show any development of any kind of any QB is if they are hesiman candidates

Hope Ags can lure him back.

Better talent than Arch Manning. And proven HS winner UNLIKE the overhyped Arch. Reason Saban is going after him so hard.

Well this is stupid. Saban is going after Arch equally as hard, if not more.
