Sam Pettito was hired by Saban to lock down the Amite (and area) kids. He went to high school in Amite and is good buddies with some recruit's dads. He also helps with the barber there Sanders who pushes these kids to Bama (literally wil ldrive them there, and I believe he visits Smith fairly regularly at Bama).

When Pettito was hired from UGA, Smith decommitted from UGA and shortly committed to Alabama. Sopsher's dad and Pettito played in high school together. Ish is making things a lot harder though with this whole Rodney demand and not wanting to play NT. I think we are all just ready to see that shite show over with however it goes. You guys would get Devonta Lee too if you have room, no doubt in my mind.

Yeah. There's probably no way he plays DE at either school, but there's DEFINITELY no way he plays DE at Bama.

LSU is still getting jumbo guys for DT, like Ika, Livingston and Shelvin. These guys are all well over 350. I think if Sopsher can get down in the 320s he can play DE in our base defense. That's a pretty big "If" though.

The is no such thing as a 345lb DE. Kid will be a DT, and a great one at that

Bumma? Good one, your cleverness knows no bounds.
In regards to Ish most Bama fans are/were cautiously optimistic until the demand of the extra scholarship for the brother. We are waiting to see what happens.
Question for you, if he picks lsu are you guys going to apologize for all of the hatred y’all have spewed towards him?

I’ll bite - sure won’t.

Sure, I’ll root for him as a Tiger. But the public demand for his brother to get a scholly was wrong no matter where he winds up.

fricking NO way, just ask Tyler Shelvin about that!!! We will probably give him shite until he sees the field, and then when he sees the field we will anoint him a football God and glad he didn't go to Bama blah, blah, blah - But why did you ask since you knew the answer anyway because it is exactly what your fan base does to recruits and every other fan base in the country!!!!

This guy’s recruitment has been all over the map, with the latest scuttlebutt from Bama insiders being that he let Bama coaches know he was in after the LSU visit. Our LSU insiders are saying the exact opposite, so I don’t know who to believe.

Until I hear something conclusive to the contrary, I maintain that he will end up at Bama due to the petito/barber/Sopsher’s dad connection

Well...

Alabama insiders are claiming he is theirs

LSU insiders are claiming he’s theirs

So I think he is going to Oregon
