ESPN did a basketball article on Anthony Barber. Can someone post it in the basketball thread?

We will see eventually. Size always matters in high school recruiting evaluations. Personally, I would rather have a guy very good at playing the ball even if his size might limit his ability to jam a receiver. Regardless, I find that size isn't as important as want to in jamming a receiver as well. Most receivers don't like contact anyway so even if they are bigger they don't really try to run over many CBs. They try to run around them.

put a 5-7 cb in space with a 6-3 wr and a qb who can go over the top and I will show you a beat cb 9 out of 10 plays.I don't care how manish the cb is.

It seems every class fully under Saban other than 2010 has featured atleast once in every 5 years type of player at whatever the position. The type of player who comes out of highschool with the physical abilities to play at a high level. Julio Jones was the guy in 2008, Trent for 2009, Cyrus for 2011, and Collins for 2012.

Rueben Foster appears to be that guy for this class at linebacker. I wonder if others see O.J Howard the same at the TE spot. I find it hard to believe Alabama will get another TE with Howards height and athletic ability again within the next 5 years.

Do you mind waiting till Kouandjio and Collins do something? We already saw what Jones and Richardson did as freshmen.

Has to mean in Bama's classes. Hell AJ Green was as much a "5 year guy" as Julio and they were the same class. I don't believe Collins was one of those types though . Great athlete and has huge talent and upside but his size takes him out of the "elite" category. Also the fact that he's got a ways to go in coverage but that is less a factor since it's true of most. I'd maybe give Yeldon as the "5 year guy" from last year's Bama class. He's special. He's in the discussion, talent wise, with Richardson.

Do something like be physically capable of playing at a very high level? How dare he make that kind of wild assertion.
