*** One unexpected A-Day visitor was Muscle Shoals (Ala.) defensive lineman Dee Liner. While Liner is publicly saying he’s 100% committed to Auburn, sources close to the situation indicate that the visit went well and UA has work to do but has a chance to turn him moving forward. Look for Liner to continue to say the right things in regards to his Auburn commitment, but remember the A-Day visit comes on the heels of the longtime Tiger commit stating that he wasn’t visiting anymore schools. Don’t be surprised if Liner’s recruitment will draw comparisons to T.J. Yeldon’s in the coming months. It’s worth noting that while the end result could be similar, Liner’s situation isn’t exactly the same in that he makes public comments to the contrary while Yeldon rarely commented on his recruitment publically or even privately for that matter.
*** Five-star forward Devonta Pollard has returned from his visit to Georgetown and is approaching a decision with a date for an announcement yet to be finalized but likely coming early next week. Look for the announcement to be broadcasted on television in some fashion. Sources indicate it’s a UA-Texas battle for Pollard with both sides feeling cautiously optimistic.
Proximity to his home in Mississippi, familiarity (he’s been on campus more than other finalists), and ability to make an impact are factors playing in UA’s favor while Texas’ history with developing early NBA draft entries under Rick Barnes (see Kevin Durant, Tristan Thompson, Lamarcus Aldridge, D.J. Augustin, etc.) and the lack of a true SF on roster are being considered. It’s also worth noting that should Pollard’s mother move with him to the Austin area, that she’d likely see a salary increase given that teachers in Texas make more than in Mississippi. Georgetown is the darkhorse here with the involvement of former Hoya head man John Thompson, Jr. being a potential x-factor. Thompson has become involved in Georgetown’s recruitment of Pollard, in an effort to aid his son and current coach John Thompson, III.
***Longtime UA commit Reuben Foster made news when he finalized his long-speculated transfer from Troup County in La Grange, Georgia, somewhat surprisingly ending up at Auburn High School. Foster remains committed to Alabama and while he still will take visits to other programs, it’s important to remember that he planned to do the same had he stayed at Troup County. Proximity to his daughter in La Grange and the quality of education at AHS (with intentions of graduating in December and enrolling early) were key factors in his decision to make the move.
***The nation’s top prospect and UA target Robert Nkemdiche is visiting Ole Miss this weekend for the Rebels’ spring game in which his brother Denzel Nkemdiche will be playing. There’s not much new on the recruiting front with Nkemdiche- UA is still in good position with the franchise prospect with Clemson and Ole Miss being potential darkhorses due to his relationships with each program. While a May decision has been oft-discussed, nothing is set and we wouldn’t be surprised to see the process stretch out longer.
***The next two months will be key in UA’s quarterback recruiting as the UA staff will hit the road for the May evaluation period and host prospect camps in June giving them a chance to evaluate the handful of top targets in person. As has been discussed in the past, in person evaluations are big with UA and Nick Saban in regards to the quarterback evaluation process. Look for UA to check on Cooper Bateman (Salt Lake City, Utah/Cottonwood), Riley Ferguson (Matthews, N.C./Butler), Mitch Trubisky (Mentor, Ohio), and Connor Mitch (Raleigh, N.C./Wakefield). Bateman, Ferguson, and Trubisky have all indicated that they intend to return in June to throw for Saban.
***Two of the bigger targets to be at A-Day were Monaca (Pa.) Central Valley wide receiver Robert Foster and Jacksonville (Fla.) Sandalwood OLB/DE DeMarcus Walker. Sources on both sides indicate Foster’s visit went very well and UA has positioned itself as the top out-of-state contender for the five-star’s services alongside Pitt and Penn State. Foster’s willingness to leave the state will likely dictate UA’s chances with him moving forward. Look for the top WR to return for Tuscaloosa for an official visit later in the year.
Like Foster, Walker’s visit went well. The top 100 prospect is being recruited by UA as a Jack LB and finds the role attractive. Walker plans to make a commitment on May 24 with it being a UA-Florida battle. He has good things to say about both programs, but at this point we consider him an in-state lean given his number of connections with the Gator program.
***UA feels it landed two of the nation’s better athletes over the weekend in Woodbury (N.J.) cornerback Anthony Averett and Spanish Fort WR/ATH Deon Johnson. Averett saw his stock rise dramatically in recent months which in part was brought on by a UA offer in March. Penn State, Tennessee, Iowa, and South Carolina were a few programs that followed suit, but UA and area recruiter Jeff Stoutland’s early evaluation and offer wasn’t lost on Averett and ultimately put the Tide over the top. Some sources feel Johnson is one of (with one even saying he may be the best) 2013 prospects in the state of Alabama. He still has work to do in the classroom to qualify, but at the minimum is a prospect that could pay dividends down the line (see current Tide CB and former JUCO placement Deion Belue).
***One school that UA offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier will stop by during the May evaluation period is La Mirada High School, just a little south of Los Angeles. The name will sound familiar to UA fans as it’s the alma mater of current Crimson Tide offensive lineman Isaac Luatua. The Matadores feature a wealth of underclassmen talent with Luatua’s younger brother, Tyler, among their top prospects. The younger Luatua is a 6-foot-4, 230-pound class of 2014 tight end and already boasts offers from Colorado, Nebraska, and UCLA, with Cal close to extending a tender, as well. UA is in great position here, as the Luatua brothers are very close and want to play together at the next level.
Nussmeier will also watch La Mirada’s 2015 quarterback, Kevin Dillman, who is already considered one of (if not the top) quarterback prospects in the nation for that cycle. Dillman is an interesting story- he’s originally from Sweden and began playing with the Swedish national team at the age of thirteen (against 17-18 year olds). He came to La Mirada as a result fo his father having connections with the school dating back to his time there as a foreign exchange student. Dillman is highly advanced physically for his age and is said to possess an immense work ethic and maturity for such a young player. He spent much of his freshman season ironing out citizenship issues but impressed in limited time.
Dillman has early offers from Arkansas, Cal, Louisville, Nebraska, and UCLA. He’s still new to the recruiting process and doesn’t have much of a grasp on college football yet (favorite team, etc.) as the NFL comprises the majority of football shown in Sweden. Sources indicate he’s likely to be attracted to a more under center, pro-style offensive scheme. It’s also worth noting that Southern Cal already has a commitment from fellow 2015 quarterback David Sills, who made news when he committed to the Trojans and Lane Kiffin when he was in seventh grade.

Don't pay any mind to the LSU people complaining about the premium stuff. They should be thankful that you guys are willing to share. Obviously the admins don't care. They only care about the LSU ones because they have relationships with the LSU insiders. Professional courtesy and all. The info ends up here anyway just not quoted word for word. Our insiders don't really give a ton of info anyway.
Why does BOL always completely leave LSU off the Nkemdiche stuff? Do they feel we're being used for press or to throw things off or something? Wouldn't be suprised if that were the case.

They mentioned LSU when he announced that they were his leader right after his visit but havent really said anything since then. They may know something that we all dont. Dont really know.
Dumbass Carvell from the AJC put out an article a few days ago and he said that Alabama and Ole Miss were the rumored front runners now.

Half of his HS team will hold an OM offer if that's what it takes.
