Hmmmmm. Interesting. Must be just another step in the Process. Take their bullshite slogan and make it our own.
Many Alabama commits have already said "family" before.
It's nothing new. That's why I find it funny when 'bama fans feel the need to use it in derogatory fashion when a Auburn commit says it.

This kid must be a sleeper. 1 offer only.

If you're talking about Johnson, he didn't play at all his soph year because he transferred schools. That, and grades are a concern.

His 247 page list a bunch of offers, and he's a top 250 guy. Not really under the radar.

Dude on the SECr said Arky is QBU, because Mallet will be a legend when Tom Brady retires and Tyler Wilson will be a first round pick and all their backups are awesome.

Tyler Wilson will be a first round pick. Had he come out this year I think he could be a top 5 pick.

Mike Johnson's only major time at LT was the Sugar Bowl, then was injured at the position.
Joe Thomas, Gabe Carimi, and Rickey Wagner puts Wisconsin ahead of anyone for LT, let alone OL. Rivals is only going by the amount of current NFL players and the best one to crown position U, and Bama can't compare to Wisconsin in that regard.
If they pick by quality, Wisconsin. If they pick by quantity, Iowa.

Ya, not debating that part. I actually like Wilson a lot, but I couldn't help but laugh at the rest of the statement.

Fresno State has more claim to QBU than Arkansas does...

Tide lands commitment from in-state WR
April, 14, 2012
By Greg Ostendorf | ESPN.com
A-Day was a success both on and off the field for the University of Alabama. After a competitive spring game, the Crimson Tide picked up commitments back-to-back from Anthony Averett and Deon Johnson.
For Johnson, a wide receiver from Spanish Fort, Ala., he had known for awhile that he was going to commit to Alabama, but he wanted to wait until A-Day to make sure.
“I think Alabama was my choice because I know Alabama, the fans and I think I can go help Alabama,” Johnson said. “I think it’s a good vibe in Tuscaloosa, and I felt like it was home ever since I first went there.”
Johnson visited UA over the weekend with his parents, his coach and his teammates. He specifically wanted to wait until his parents made this visit before pulling the trigger on his commitment.
At the spring game, Johnson couldn’t believe the fans and the support he was already receiving from them.
“The A-Day game was wonderful,” Johnson said. “I love how the fans react, and I love how they know the recruits are. Fans ask for your autograph and stuff, and they were telling me they want me to come to Bama. I was telling them I was going to commit today, and they were happy. I felt like it was home.”
The 6-foot, 180-pound receiver prospect wants to play in the slot when he gets to Alabama, and Spanish Fort head coach Mark Freeman knows that his star player has the talent to be successful at that spot when he gets to Alabama.
“He’s just a great athlete,” Freeman said. “There’s several people out there that are 4.3, 4.4 runners. A lot of guys that are great ball handlers who can catch the football, but he does both very, very well.
“I think the biggest thing on Deon is that he is so strong, surprisingly strong. He’s a lot stronger kid than he looks. He’s just a guy that’s exciting when he’s got the football in his hands.”
Freeman said Johnson was getting serious interest from a number of other schools, including Auburn and Nebraska, but he had his mind made up that he wanted to come to Alabama.
Johnson becomes the 11th commitment for the Tide in 2013 and the sixth from the state of Alabama.

I got a feeling Miami is gonna rack up in the next few days at TE/WR and LB, to go along with RBU that they received earlier.

I'm sticking to my pinkies and unit promise, but it's not as 100% as I once thought. Ole Miss isn't a player. LSU won't be a player because of distance. Bama's biggest competition is Clemson. He really likes it there. BUT, he hasn't had the sit down "closing" meeting with Saban yet. He almost committed at Junior Day. In the end I still think he rolls with the Tide. Plus, we have Mickey Conn on our side.

I worry about getting into a recruiting battle with Clemson much more than OM or LSU. LSU isn't that dirty of a program and OM only pays for kids from MS. His parents are pretty wealthy though aren't they? Maybe that will prevent Clemson's best recruiting pitch from being very effective.
Also, I would hope that Dabo knows if he pulls anything shady, he is killing any outside shot he ever had of being hired to replace Saban.
