-Vinnie Sunseri is a beast. How he was only rated a 3-star player is baffling.
He played LB in highschool, so that is what he was classified as. Being 5'11 and 210 pounds is really small for a LB, but it's fine for a safety. I remember reading where one recruiting service evaluator said that if he was 2 or 3 inches taller he would have been a highly rated 4 star though. His football IQ and instincts are probably some of the best on our team.

Not to mention Vinnie plays like a wild man and is a heat seeking missile when he is on the field.
I was skeptical when we took his commitment and chalked it up as a "gift" to his father, but damn he is good.

I knew he was pretty good. I was just skeptical about whether he could play safety, which was his only way of getting on the field. His athleticism is far more deceptive than I anticipated though.

Anyone else think whether it be this season or next AJ is going to be the first Bama QB to pass for 3000 yards? He'll have so many weapons in the passing game. Maybe Duron Carter, Chris Black, Amari Cooper, our H-backs are always good, DeAndrew White, Kenny Bell, Eddie Willaims, CJ, Dee Hart, and Yeldon.
I think you are legally retarded.

To think he will start over a 5-star player in HCD, with possibly no drop off in replacing a first round safety (Barron) is pretty amazing.
Having said that, things will get very interesting once Landon Collins gets on campus.

Are you serious, Clark?
I'm not saying AJ will set SEC records, but he almost passed for 3000 yards with the best RB in the country standing behind him. Not to mention our WRs weren't exactly world beaters last season.
AJ should eclipse that mark next season.
AJ should have a much longer leash next year than any QB Saban has had at Alabama. Given the way he dissected LSU's defense in the title game, I think Saban trusts him completely now.
And Nussmeier will bring more of a passing element than Mac.

Nussmeier will bring whatever Saban tells him to.
I think Saban actually trusts AJ though, so I expect us to throw the ball more this season.

This coming from a member of a fanbase who's battle cry is that Mettenberger is the best QB to ever suit up for LSU without ever playing in a meaningful game. And I'm retarded.
He's already won one national championship. He's got two years left to add to that. We signed two, possibly three 5-star WRs (depending on which service you follow), so his targets will be better. Why the negativity?

Sims not doing much today was not a shock. After his shoulder flaired up on Wednesday they chose not to let him throw on Friday. Hopes were that a couple of days off would give him a better shot at being able to throw today.
Travel Dixon only played one year of HS football followed by 2 years of JuCo, should not be a shock if it takes him a while to learn the D. I think CNS was wanting him to be the Star and trying to learn both RCB and Star is giving him some trouble much like Barron's 1st year while trying to learn both Safeties and Star.
On Friday Yeldon was trying to catch the ball with only his right hand. The way he was favoring the left it looked like a very sore wrist. Not good since pass protection is one of the things he needs to work on the most.

AJ will have 14 games to put up numbers instead of 13 games last season. That alone will just about get him to 3,000.
I don't think we'll necessarily throw the ball a lot more next season than last season, but I think we'll throw fewer short passes and more intermediate passes. His completion % may go down but yards/game will go up.

If AJ's passing number go up by only 10 to 15 yards per game and he gets 14 games he will be at about 3025 total yards.

The main reason I think AJ will throw for over 3000 yards is based on both LSU games from last year. In the first meeting Saban tried to make him manage the game and took him out of his element.
Saban openly admits that for the second game he told AJ to be himself and gave him free reign to make plays. That game proved to Saban that he could trust AJ fully and I'm betting next season will reflect that.

Apparently he injured it bracing for a fall this week. Some are speculating it my take a Julio-esque screw and plate procedure, but it is what it is(speculation)...

Yep. I think Saban trusts AJ more than he ever trusted JPW or McElroy.

A couple days ago, someone posted a link to LHB where the posters were claiming that UGA was about to hire Reuben Foster's former coach to be their new on campus recruiting coordinator. Now those same people are claiming it's going to be Chad Simmons from Scout.com.
Also, one of them is claiming that UGA now leads for Brendan Langley FWIW
