Isaiah Crowell Recruiting Violation Self-Reported For 'Missing Man' Formation

Isaiah Crowell's recruitment featured a stunning piece of drama directed by Mark Richt that has forced the Georgia Bulldogs to self-report a violation. When Crowell was in Athens in late January, Richt had his offense, sans tailback, line up in uniform while Richt and Crowell looked down from the swag pad.

Crowell then went downstairs to take his rightful place. [link=( https://atlanta.sbnation.com/georgia-bulldogs/2011/3/14/2050494/isaiah-crowell-recruiting-violation-georgia-football-news)]LINK[/link]

There's a separate thread for that alone.

Well shite, it was started by a UGA fan so I overlooked it. My bad. Either way, I just looked at the OP of this thread and it said he was still committed. I also only have internet access on my phone so its hard to read through other websites quickly.

Well I thought it was breaking news. Idk why it was literally just retweeted unless he hadn't heard or read about it.

A source close to UA wide receiver Duron Carter has informed Tidesports.com that the second-year JuCo transfer has recently satisfied a key condition for reinstatement. At this point, it is still unclear whether or not that condition is the only or final hurdle Carter must clear to get back on the field, nor is there definitive word on when he might return. That said, we know that he is a step closer to good standing. Please refrain from posting about rumors and/or reports of Carter's career demise. It still remains to be seen whether he returns to the squad, but the notion that he is finished at UA is definitely premature. Of course, when we learn more, we'll bring it to you immediately.

St. Pius 2014 safety Nick Glass just told me that he spent the last 30 minutes on the phone with UA defensive line coach Chris Rumph. He feels UA is close to offering. He may visit this weekend.

He will play this year I'm pretty convinced

Also on the BOL practice update they talk about a new TE/H-back transfer from South Alabama, AJ's brother Corey (might've been mentioned but if so I missed it). Coming out he was listed as 6'3 245, he played OG, TE, FB, DE for St Pauls then transferred to Spanish Fort and played DE & TE

Also a new article on Collins half-brother Gerald Willis who names a top 3 of Bama, LSU, and UF

Corey has been mentioned and appropriately made fun of on this board I think someone mentioned he has a terrible tattoo too.

Also, just to let everyone know, I have officially decided to throw my hat in the "I think Nkemdiche is going somewhere else" camp AND IT'S DEFINITELY NOT A REVERSE JINX. DEFINITELY NOT. YOU ARE NOT A LOCK ROBERT!

I met Corey McCarron in NOLA the week of the BCSNCG. This was a couple weeks after it was announced that he was transferring to Bama. Seemed like a really nice guy, but didn't seem to me to have the size needed to play h-back for us (definitely didn't look 6'3, 245). But maybe he'll prove me wrong.

The resumption of Alabama's spring practices this week affords prospects with the opportunity to observe the Tide's daily operations. One such prospect is Alabama commit ArDarius Stewart. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Fultondale (Ala.) native made the hour long drive to Tuscaloosa earlier this week and liked what he saw from the Crimson Tide.

Stewart plans to return on Saturday for UA's first scrimmage.

“I liked how they ran things. It was full speed and everybody was hustling. I liked how smooth everything went. It was the first practice I’ve been to,” stated Stewart.

While at practice, the top 100 athlete exchanged pleasantries with several Alabama staff members.

“It wasn’t really a thing where I got to meet with the coaches, but I spoke with them. They greeted me and said they were glad to see me and things like that. I talked with Coach Saban, Coach (Jeremy) Pruitt, Coach (Lance) Thompson- pretty much all the coaches.”

Stewart focused on a handful of position groups and was impressed with the Crimson Tide's group effort.

“I bounced around a little bit. I watched the quarterbacks, the receivers, the DB’s, and kick return. All of the players looked good. Every single one of them hustled on the field and no one walked. They all gave 100% in practice, so I’d say all of them stood out to me.

The reigning Class 2A Back of the Year plans to be back in Tuscaloosa over the weekend for Alabama's first intra-squad scrimmage of the spring.

“There’s nothing new with recruiting. I was going to try to be there again this week, but I have to work. I know for sure I’m going to be there on Saturday to see the scrimmage.”

Stewart has a grade of 95 from 247Sports and is ranked as the no. 53 prospect in the nation, regardless of position.

On Wednesday, Oxford High School teammates Ulric Jones and Racean Thomas visited the University of Alabama with their head coach John Grass to watch the Crimson Tide’s spring practice.

It was an opportunity for the two in-state stars to not only watch Alabama work out in person, but to also take back some of what they saw to their own school.

“I saw stuff that we do, and I saw stuff that we don’t do but that we should do to improve,” Jones said. “As far as the drills they do, I think it would help our team out a good bit because the stuff they work on is things that our team lacks.”

For Jones, a 2013 prospect, it was the first UA practice he’s attended. The 6-foot-7, 260-pound junior watched the defensive line because that’s where he plays at Oxford, and Alabama likes him as a defensive end in its 3-4 defense.

“The defensive line looked just as good as they did last year,” Jones said. “They’re big. They got some size this year. Last year, I think that’s what they lacked.”

Jones has offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State, South Alabama and Troy, but he says the two major in-state schools, Alabama and Auburn, as well as Mississippi State stand out as his early favorites.

Alabama: “They have a winning team and the best defense in the nation. That’s all you can say about them.”

Auburn: “It’s just a great atmosphere. It’s just a great place to be.”

Mississippi State: “I keep in contact with their coaches a lot, and I’m starting to like what I hear.”

Thomas, a 2014 running back, is also high on the Crimson Tide and the Tigers early in the process. Both he and Jones are expected to visit Auburn on Saturday.

Alabama 2012 signee Caleb Gulledge was also in attendance for the Tide’s practice on Wednesday. The Prattville High School star watched both the offensive line and defensive line because he could play on either side when he gets to Tuscaloosa.
