Hate to say this friend, but this post came off looking a little insecure and angry sounding. Usually not like you
Damn. That sucks. I thought the sarcasm in the first couple of sentences was pretty clear and the direct slap in the last two was necessary, but I can see how you might take it that way.
Either way, take into consider who it was directed toward and you'll understand why I may have posted outside of my normal style.
Hope it's been good with you, my friend.b

Will Bama get that TE Hunter from Arkansas?

Brendan Langley already has identified Alabama and Georgia, the schools he most recently visited, as his front-runners among the nine teams that have extended scholarship offers to him.
Four-star cornerback Brendan Langley of Kell High School in Marietta, Ga., who holds nine scholarship offers to date, says he has identified a leader among his early front-runners.
There’s now a clear pecking order among his early leaders.
The junior cornerback from Kell High School in Marietta, Ga., said Alabama currently stands at the top of his list, with Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and Mississippi State rounding out his top five as he prepares to take a few more visits this spring.
Langley, a four-star prospect who’s ranked the No. 20 cornerback in the 2013 class by 247Sports, said his relationship with Crimson Tide defensive coordinator Kirby Smart has helped Alabama emerge as the favorite.
“I feel that, out of all my schools that have offered me, I definitely have the best relationship with Coach Smart,” Langley said.
“We talk almost three times a week. We’re always on the phone talking to each other, whether it’s about recruiting, whether it’s about issues that he’s having or he needs someone to talk to or whether I’m having issues. We definitely have a great connection, a great relationship, so that’s kind of what’s put them in the lead right now.”
The 6-foot-1, 187-pound Langley said his other top contenders, “in order,” include Georgia at “number two, Florida number three, Tennessee number four and probably Mississippi State at number five.”
He also has listed South Carolina among his top five in recent interviews.
Langley attended junior days at Alabama on Feb. 18 and Georgia on March 3, and he went to Tennessee’s home game against Georgia last season. He said he’s also planning “a few more” visits in the coming weeks, starting with another visit to check out the Vols perhaps as early as this weekend.
Langley was scheduled to visit Tennessee over the weekend but says he wasn't able to make the trip because the standardized test he took Saturday lasted longer than expected.
A former teammate and close friend of Tennessee rising sophomore safety Brian Randolph, Langley intended to travel to Knoxville again over the weekend. But he said he was forced to reschedule after his SAT took longer than expected.
Florida will host Langley on a visit, he said, during “the first week of April.” He said he also hopes to make it to Vanderbilt, South Carolina and Mississippi State, “and I think that will probably be it for me.”
He’s looking to make a decision before the start of his senior year.
“I’ve been saying it’s probably going to be in the beginning, right before my senior season starts, where I can focus on getting my team to the state title,” said Langley, who has been timed at 4.39 seconds in the 40-yard dash. “But really, in all actuality, you never really know what’s going to happen, so I’m kind of just taking it day by day.
“But for the most part, my plan is for it to be done in late summer, right before the season starts.”

Not turning this into a pissing contest at all, but the statement in bold is just kind of strange to me. Why is an adult going to a teenager about his issues or when he needs someone to talk to?
I'll hang up and listen.

Makes the recruit think he's in the "circle or trust" of his recruiter. Makes him believe he's helping, so they they can bond. You have to have a decent relationship with recruits off the field.
...I hope.
...I hope.

I will agree recruiting requires a personal touch, and I really wasn't trying to be negative, but I just found that somewhat odd. Thanks for answering MG.

I hope Smart isn't really spilling his personal life to every GA recruit Bama is after

Sorry Alabama, but according to Texas LB, Reggie Chevis, Texas A&M is LB U.
I guess Dat + Von = LBU

That’s one of the most important factors for me going to A&M because I have family down there. It’s a good school, not far from home and they’re in the SEC. You can’t ask for too much more than that. Plus it’s linebacker U so..."
