Zaire is something we've not had at Alabama since Stabler. A QB with equal talent running and throwing. I hope we land him.

Hearing Jesse Williams ran at UA's pro day today and clocked times of 4.87 and 4.75

Was also told he cleared over 50 reps of 225 earlier this week
Riiiiight...
I've never seen any football player do that. Ever.
ETA: And yes, RT27's 40 time was inaccurate.

Scout is garbage!! And the editor who let it come out, is garbage!!!

Stephen Paea put it up 49 times and was clocked at sub 4.9 at Oregon State.
So I'm inclined to believe it's possible, especially since an Admin posted it...

Yeah, I was just clarifying it was more than 50, not exactly 50.

Just because Auburn Rivals employs a liar, doesn't mean everyone else does. I don't really care if you believe it or not, but there's no reason to lie with a statement like that. How many subscriptions does he bring in with a statement like that? Zero.
And don't overlook the fact I just posted someone has done something similar already. Those times aren't laser timed, and was probably done on 1 stopwatch. Scouts were probably gone by then, that's probably true. If they were properly regulated, it would probably be a high 4.9 or low 5.
And you can do many more reps when you aren't on a stage like the Combine or a Pro Day. No time limit nor penalization for improper reps. Williams is a frequent visitor of the weight room, so it's not really a surprise. And he's a former rugby player like Paea and Haloti Ngata, which is where he gets his athleticism from.

I have heard a ton of people say that he might as well live there.

In other words, you're agreeing with me about them being inaccurate? I will go ask Peej to make gay pron with me if he does over 50 reps of 225 and runs a 4.8 40 that's electronically timed.

I believe they may be slightly off by the fact of regulation and by no fault of his own. Your posted made it sound like it was completely impossible to do both.
Never did it say it was an official time, which it most likely means it wasn't. Common sense could have told you those weren't official, but that doesn't mean they don't end up as above average times for a 320 pound player. So yes by old standards, JW ran a sub 4.9 and sub 4.8. When you average together times among scouts at Pro Days, it's to be in agreement, not that the end result is always correct.
And I doubt his bench was off by more than 3-4, especially if he did more than 50. Again, what does Charles Power gain by lying about something that doesn't even have to do with recruiting?

“I’m definitely trying to get down to Alabama on April 14 for their junior day and trying to get down there for another date, it just depends on when my dad can take me. I’m going to try to make as many trips down there as possible,” said Allen

“I’ve talked to Nick Saban once. He was talking about academics which is an important part and the tradition of Alabama. They one I mainly talk to is Coach Lance Thompson. He’s the coach I’m mainly in connection with. Our relationship is really good. He’s one I can go to and tell whatever’s going on. Me and him have a good relationship right now.”

“I’ve always grown up being an Alabama fan. Even though I was born in Alabama, I wasn't raised there, but I still say I’m from there. I just like the tradition they carry and the intensity they play with. That’s definitely a positive when looking at Alabama.

“I like the fact that they have a pro-style defense. When talking to Coach Lance Thompson, he said they would plan on moving me around a lot. They have me being an every-down player so I wouldn’t have to come off the field. That’s something he told me that really interests me.”

“I’m planning on trying to commit before the start of my senior year. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get to that, but that’s what I’m aiming for. I definitely want to go to a school where I’m comfortable and one that I’d go to even if I didn’t play football. That’s a big thing for me.”
