McKeeman interview with Nkemdiche:

quote:

So, where does Ole Miss rank for Nkemdiche after his visit?

"They definitely moved up. I would say maybe number three now in my top five. I don't really have a set ranking, though."

That number one spot still belongs to Alabama. Nkemdiche says he texted some Tide coaches after his visit to Ole Miss.

"I texted some of the Alabama coaches and just talked to them. I told them I'm taking visits to do what I have to do. Alabama is a place I feel very comfortable with also. I like a lot of things about it and I really enjoyed my visit a took a little while ago."

On his decision

quote:

"I think I'll just know pretty soon. I don't know for sure right now but I just have a feeling I'll know sooner than I thought I would. I used to think I would wait until Signing Day but I think it will be in the next couple months or a little after. Maybe it will be after the summer or before."

In the meantime, Nkemdiche says he doesn't have any other visits planned until his trip to Baton Rouge in the summer. He is trying to sit back and enjoy the "crazy" recruiting process as he gets closer and closer to a final decision.

The guy who said that over on the LSUrb doesn't really seem credible.

This was posted on BOL by a poster about Ragland. Supposedly it's coming from a Bob Jones trainer. The guy may be credible. Lucky thanked him for giving the board a update.

quote:

His current weight is 242 pounds and his height is just over 6'3". "We are working on his footwork and and foot speed. By August 18, you will see a huge difference in his footwork and quickness. Right now it looks like he will be playing at outside linebacker, probably SAM"

Sounds like there is a very good chance that he will see the field as a freshman. The trainer mentioned that he will only play LB and there is no talk of him playing TE or H-Back.

On the Alabama/ Mississippi game
Saban loved how Tyler Hayes, Ryan Anderson, and Reggie Ragland went after ballcarries. "That was the best play of three linebackers I have seen since being at Alabama."

Now on to the big news.
"I would bet $100 that Reggie Ragland plays football and basketball next year at Alabama. We have talked about it, the only thing that will hold him back is an injury during the football season or a surgery." The trainer mentioned how at LSU Saban had a defensive-end play center for LSU's basketball team. "Reggie will probably play the 'three'." "I see Reggie, Trevor, and Levi (former teammate) playing on the court at the same time." Grant loves how Reggie has the ability to post up but also get out and play on the permimeter. Reggies hustle and effort on the court however is what Grant is raving about him.

If he is a legit D1 basketball player that'd be great. That would just be more depth without taking up a scholarship.

Reggie and Levi were beasts together I remember watching them together a few times and Levi had at least 4 or 5 alley oop passes and if I remember Reggie had a nice stroke with range

And some news Reuben Foster is coming to the bball game today and nice to hear that interview with Nkemdiche you can tell we have a significant lead
