STILL can't believe UGA was able to win that game SMH almost like UF threw it or something, on the Jr Day of all games

If UF hits fewer than 10 threes they usually lose.

I would pay great sums of money to see a UA vs. AU debate. Teams Irons brothers vs. Upshaw.

Speaking of Upshaw, one of the posters on the SECr made a Touch Dat Thang, Fo ringtone (good for texts) if anyone wants it emailed.

Rusty Mansell released his Ga top 20 and Foster was #1
Rusty Mansell is a UGA writer. I bet he is going with the one that he feels Georgia has a better chance at.

*Coach Nuss has already made a strong impression with the staff at Bama. Very young and energetic coach who I think will thrive at Bama. Seems to be similar to Mac in philosophy but also has some very unique wrinkles that will help make our offense more explosive.

*Chris Jones is the big player to watch in the spring as the staff really feels like he is ready to take that next step & be a great WR. I don't know anything about the coaches at Minor but he came last summer incredibly prepared to play.

*I have heard nothing but good things about the 2 true freshman WRs on campus.

*TJ Yeldon is the most unique talent that we have had in the back field during Saban's tenure

*Keep an eye on the battle at H-Back this spring...Harrison Jones will be the front runner due to smarts and ball skills.

*Fowler needs to have a great spring if he wants meaningful carries in September. Yeldon & Hart are both better pure RBs but both must get ALL the mental aspects of the new offense. Blitz pickup mainly.

*I fully believe we will see a lot more of Michael Williams in the passing game. Big time weapon for us down the seam as he is much quicker than he should be at his weight.

*AJ is now the voice of this team and has proved it time & time again this offseason. Just what this upcoming team needs.
I think this was posted earlier in the thread. I think we can take his info as legit. His nephew is a coaching intern at Bama.

Chase Goodbread just posted some of the same things just now on TideSports.

Also said the DePriest rumor is false and Blake Sims might resurface at QB. Had good things to say about Fanning too...

He may have this guy as a source. I know I'll be watching his posts from now on.

Here is the story that poster just posted in case anyone wants to read it. I think it's pretty awesome for any Bama fan

quote:

My nephew lost his parents at age 6 in a tragic car crash with a drunk long haul truck driver. My wife and I had miscarried 2 babies by this point so when ever he needed a home, we decided to raise him as our own due to us not having children. We took the trucking service to court and were able to raise him more than comfortably in our home. He played QB for me for 3 years in high school and walked on for 1 year at Ole Miss before deciding on coaching for a career.
Kid was hungry to learn everything he could about the game & how to become a better coach, so he sent letters to every college coach in the southeast about doing any job from working camps to being a video department worker. He received a letter back from LSU RB coach Derek Dooley and also from a QB coach at UVA named Mike Groh. He was asked to come help work the camps after passing what essentially equated to a football IQ test at both UVA & LSU. He really got to know the 2 coaches very well and was able lean on them for advice in a new coaching career. He got on as an assistant coach at a 6a school in South Alabama for a year or so. He then received the offer to work with new La Tech HC Derek Dooley as a video staff worker. He spent 1.5 years with DD & then did some consulting work with a former major college OC.

Feb 14, 2011 my nephew gets a surprise call for a newly named WR coach at UA named Mike Groh asking if he is still interested in being a college coach...he then interviewed with CNS about a week later and was offered the job around the beginning of March...needless to say he accepted in .5 seconds. If I could post about his actual interview with CNS I would but I don't feel comfortable sharing it at the moment.

Supposedly, his grandmother is really sick and there was some rumors about him transferring to be closer to her.
