A good example of negative recruiting is telling a recruit you don't negative recruit like so and so. It sinks in as a positive message, but in reality you're no better than the other. So when I see a recruit say "Alabama did not negative recruit me" I have a hard time believing that was not drilled in him. Now it could be the exact opposite, but more often than not it's a hidden message that does it's purpose.
Bottom line is if you don't want to negative recruit then don't bring another school into the conversation. The minute you do that you've crossed the line you swore you don't cross.
Every school negative recruits.

LOL so now not negative recruiting...is neg recruiting just bc its acting like you are better than those that neg recruit.

Richardson's decommitment was just his mother telling him to make sure 1st. Basically his recruitment just means FSU has the lead at this point same as other schools who have kids commited. They just have the lead at this point. Of course some are very solid but most are still just as open as they were before commiting. Honestly I don't understand why any kid is commiting to FSU on the DL this early. They are absolutely stacked on the DL with both vets and young guys. If they can get top kids to commit in this class for the DL then they deserve a ton of credit for their recruiting efforts.

Na, not really. Any dawg fan may want to know that info (though i doubt they should be worried) so it makes it an easy search for related info.

If a kid doesnt think he is good enough to come to Bama and keep his spot on the team for 3-4 years or has to worry about getting processed, he needs to go somewhere else anyway. Im almost postive Trent Richardson, Julio, Upshaw, etc. didnt worry about it

The same that Saban spewed to get TJ Yeldon...
It happens everywhere. It'll be especially under a microscope this year since Saban did that to those two players in the 2012 class. I actually think OJ Howard had taken notice before the Auburn staff brought it up. Many more recruits probably have, too. Who knows.

I highly doubt it, multiple recruits coming back from the same visit mentioning it isn't a coincidence. You have an entire weekend with impressionable youths, feeding them your beliefs on subjects like that. Result, they'll regurgitate the same lines they were given afterwards as their own opinion.

Saban didn't need to negatively recruit to get TJ, anyone who actually knows the details of his recruitment will tell you that.

OR, teams that have a successful history like Notre Dame, FSU, etc
