To be fair, Oliver’s defense was fine but he caused dissension like he did at bama.

You really think he was worse than potato squad? The records don't say that...

This, by a giant margin. Fans that list more recent combos don't have the slightest clue...

Someone listed a Les Miles group. Someone else listed an Ed O group. As much as we love to bitch, you have to realize: Miles' worst full season was 8-5, and the worst O did was at .500 (5-5, 6-6 regular season).

Curley never achieved .500 at LSU.
Wouldn't matter if he had Saban at DC and Bill Walsh at OC, having Curley as HC by itself drops the group to last place.

Curly Hallman - HC
- 16-28 record (10-21 in the SEC) over 4 seasons. Was at Alabama as a DBs coach for a couple seasons, then a DC for in the XFL one year. Most recently fired as head coach at a high school in SC where he never had a winning record in 4 years and was fired. He's been out of football coaching since 2007

Lynn Amedee - OC
- next job was an OC at a high school, then to State for 3 years, then back to high school, then out of football

Phil Bennett - DC
- journeyman doing 1-2 year stints until he got the HC job at SMU where he amassed a 18-52 record over 6 seasons before becoming a journeyman coordinator again

You could put Chaggy with Buddy Ryan as DC and Bill Walsh as OC, and you'd still have the worst trio, simply because Chaggy's awfulness would be THAT overpowering.

And the cherry on top is AD Joe Dean driving drunk into one of the LSU lakes during this time period.

I want so bad to put Curry here but Homer Smith was really good.

For Auburn I would have bet Barfield.
