Kevin Faulk has to be the most underrated player of our time. He was just on a bad team his last year which seemed to have ruined his legacy.

I don't think he belongs on any top 5 lists, but I agree he is vastly under appreciated.

You could make the argument that Cam was the most impactful player in the history of CFB

True, but would you put him in a list with Jackson, Walker, Tittle, Tebow, the Mannings, etc. in terms of SEC history/tradition? I sure wouldn't.

Why do I have to include what a player means to their team? doesn't make them the BEST players, it makes them VALUABLE players. pretty big difference IMO

When I think of great players, at all levels, they seem to have a way of elevating their teams to wins. I just feel like that's part of what makes great players great...not just talent.

Across multiple seasons. I mean Cam was obviously the major impetous for Auburn's run last year, no doubt about it, but think of what a guy like Tebow did across 3 seasons, the impact he had on and off the field, and what he meant to all of the rivalries. Just my opinion, but those are the things that stick most in peoples minds 10-20 years down the road.

Your list of
Trent
Ingram
Prothro
Dre
Rondo

is a good list of the last decade. I can only assume you did not see Bama before that time, so I really like your list. I would have to think a long time to come up with mine, stretching back over so many years, but I probably would put Trent on it as well. Thanks

How can you put a guy on an alltime list based on mostly one season that isn't even over yet? I guess its kind of like building a statue of a current coach.

lol. His numbers strongly disagree, and this was in a Houston Nutt offense where EVERYONE knew it was coming.

If Ingram never came to Alabama and Trent was the main guy starting his freshman year do you think he could have been one of the best ever in the SEC?

He probably won't get any attention but I don't see how a guy could have been much better than Patrick Willis was... beast

1. U dumb bro?

2. Non-Arkansas posters have put him in their top 5 as well. It's debateable, but he definitely belongs in the discussion.

I def think McFadden is top 5 rb, but not overall players. Now their 07 backfield, I think, is only bested by 01 Miami and Thurman Thomas and Barry sanders
