Much easier to catch a slightly deflated ball.

Row 1 is not that bad. I love going to BDS. Pretty stadium and real quiet when the game is over. Only been there five times though.

For us this comes in cycles. We will not be good every year. Too many good coaches and too many good teams.
Be happy with what we have. A good young team.

I'm pretty sure the loss is as much on me as anybody. Did not do my normal pregame ritual and did chores around the house. I'm very sorry and sincerely apologize.
We were the inferior team with the young QB and almost won. If anything our coaches did a much better job than their infallible coaching staff.
We did not make enough plays at the end. Period. A catch or two, a kickoff in bounds. Not losing contain on a blitz. Having a corner drop back on a route and it's a different ending. Being self aware enough to see that you were being baited into a personal foul penalty....
That's what we controlled. We do just one of those things and we win. Coaches put players in position to win but players have to make the plays.
This team is young and I'm damn proud of them for fighting like they did.

Bama players should be coached better. Most of their players are in their third or fourth year in the Alabama program. We had 19 year olds hanging with 21 year olds all season. Just wait till next year and especially the year after.

And what do you expect people to say at the national level. Alabama is the better team, on paper, period. Good thing is that the games are not played on paper!

Put the family at EPCOT and walk through the international gateway to the ESPN Club. 10-15 min walk and you're there

Florida Sucks!
Enjoy! It's a bit dated but the last 30 secs sums up the UF fanbase better than anything I've ever seen.

I would say he's headed for a redshirt with his status (of doing stupid shite) and our plethora of DTs we have now....but honestly nobody is stepping up so he has as good a chance as any to play.
Jeffe, Do you know what a plethora is?

Speedy and GWIII were package deals too.
re: Gerald Willis to Florida

Yes. Very good info from Mike Detillier on Mosconas show thurs. hunter and GW III work out together at Sonic Boom on the westbank and Hunter has UF ties. That's where Detillier speculated that the UF interest came from originally.
The final nail for LSU was being able to play DE at UF. No sources, just putting this together.

Reading the tea leaves, Gerald Willis was recruited to UF by Hunter Dale. Take it for what it is worth.

When you are 18 years old and you've beat everybody's butts at a game you've played your whole life, your family will place demands on you to go for the big bucks in the NFL.
For the 5* kids, they can go out of state and make it to the NFL. That does not mean they will. The 5* mentality that I will make it and need to do what's best for me and my family is what drives these kids to pick schools on 1. Early playing time and 2. systems that fit their skill sets.
For the 2-3* kids, if they get an in-state offer, they better jump on it. Odds are, they won't make it to the NFL and will need a fall back plan.

re: Future of LSU football
Posted by Tigersomething on 1/3/14 at 11:31 am
The reality is that nobody knows the future. We can only discuss needs. That is what recruiting and coaching is for.
This team needs some more big bodies and playmakers. Look at 2011. Big,fast bodies in the trenches and playmakers on both offense and defense.
Right now, based on what we have, I would think at 10-2 regular season is within reach.
Potential Losses are: Wisconsin(Semi-Neutral, First Game), Florida(Road), Auburn(Road), Alabama, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Texas A&M(Road, very short week) and Arkansas(Road). IMO we will be favored in only 8-9 games.

He and Jimmy Sexton should be able to parlay that Sugar Bowl performance into a nice raise!
