Oh well hell, if Paul Sullivan has ruled on the subject, then I guess it is settled. Lmao.
That dude would be lucky to be in Division 1 today and just because he was on the same court as Wilt and Kareem, doesn’t mean he was in the same universe as either as a player.

So...he may not have "been in the same universe as a player", but I never said he was. What I said was, these were the players he was playing against to put up those numbers. He held his own against HOF centers.
BTW...That's just Boerwinkle's first 2 seasons. I can go on...or you can just look at the stats on basketballreference.com.
Haislip was a very athletic player...but in his 4 season NBA career he had 9 games total where he scored in double digits (never more than 12 points in a game), he never had a game with more than 6 rebounds, and he never had a game with more than 2 assists.

I remember watching Vernon Maxewell charge 15 rows deep into the stands to whoop a fan's arse in the mid 90's. HOF sixth man. Loved watching him streak out with the Rockets.

Wasn't it Anthony Peeler who transferred from Arkansas? I remember Sunvold and Peeler.

As long as Dale Brown isn’t the coach. Just realize that two of those did play together for a minute while he was coaching.

Totally agree. LSUs 5 are probably the best. Some hall of famers. Can go toe to toe with anybody

I might be the only UK fan that liked Dale Brown.
When Jackson//Shaq/Roberts came to Lexington it was the loudest I’ve ever heard Rupp. Great game and the Cats somehow pulled the upset.

Our all time lineup is beating anybody. Our current one, not so much.

Not sure about starting 5, but best 5 would be : Latrell Sprewell Robert Horry Antonio McDyess Mo Williams Gerald Wallace Honorable Mention: Collin Sexton Brandon Miller Erwin Dudley Kennedy Winston
Two time SEC player of the year Leon Douglas should be the start of any Alabama list, there’s a lot of years that 76 Bama squad could have won the tournament and almost took down Kent Benson’s Indiana squad.

Yeah LSUs lineup takes the cake. Maravich probably scores 40 even with Shaq and Chris Jackson

Dontae Jones once retrieved a quarter from the top of the backboard, after putting it there.

None of the Auburn lists have anyone from our Final 4 run on them or the late 90's Chris Porter team.
That's because outside of Harper at PG, nobody on the final four team really belongs in the discussion for best player at position, particularly when you consider offense and defense. Fast Eddie had much better size and overall skills compared to Harper, and if course the lengthy NBA career, so most are going to give him the nod. Harper is my no doubt #2 and right there with him though.
I was a Cliff Dweller and watched the Porter years, as much fun as it was experiencing it he doesn't really belong in the discussion with Charles, Marquis, and Chuck Person at forward simply because he had no real jump shot offensively, he was mostly put backs and slams. I'd even probably put Chris Morris over him.

Mar. 8, 1969 - LSU's Maravich scored Stegeman Record 58 points
Wonder how many points he would have with a three point line. Hell, him and Chris Jackson could score most of the points by themselves. I wasn't alive during pistols days at LSU. But tried to watch every game Jackson and Shaq played that year. The game against Loyola was a blast to watch. Can't believe that couldn't get a natty that year.

I know I'm biased but it's hard for me to see how UF wouldn't have a legit shot vs any roster. Horford and Noah were about as complete a college frontcourt as I can think of. They proved it in the NBA too. Only weaknesses between them is basically Noah's lack of a jump shot which isn't as important in college. Elite defenders, passers, and IQ players etc. Old man Horford is still one of the best defenders vs elite bigs in the NBA like Embiid and Giannis. Bradley Beal is one of the best scorers of his generation. Our "weakest" position is like Mike Miller at the 3 who was fringe all star and one of the best shooters of his era. Unless you don't allow White Chocolate then PG would be a pretty big drop off.
UF fans here must be pretty young. How could anyone leave Vernon Maxwell off the list? Just because the school forgot about him, we should not. He took money from an agent and the school threw out all his records and act like he never existed. They took away his stats. Maxwell was the highest scoring Gators ever. He would have also been the 2nd highest scorer in the SEC behind Pistol Pete at the time. People look at Gator football starting in the 80s, well Maxwell took the Gators to our first NCAA tourney and 1st sweet 16.
Ronnie Williams holds the school record for points, field goals, minutes and free throws made.
Neal Walk became UFs first All American in 1968. His jersey was the first and I think only to this day retired by the Gators. He remains the highest Gator to ever be drafted at #2 in the NBA draft.
Dwayne Schintzus would be ranked above Horford and Noah. He’s still the only player in the SEC to score over 1,000 points, 800 rebounds, 250 assists and 250 blocks.
Eugene McDowell played with lessor players but was one of our best. To this day he has the most double doubles in Gators history.
Udonis Haslem was our first All American since Walk. First player to play on 4 tourney teams and be named to 4 All SEC teams.
Corey Brewer. along with Mad Max were some of the best wing defenders in college and the NBA. Chandler Parsons, David Lee, Matt Bonner all very underrated.
