I can only speak for myself, but I don’t dislike LSU, nor its fans. Nor do I want LSU removed from the conference.
Having said that, I think people need to understand this shite is real and LSU could be kicked out of the league in less than 48 hours. I hope it doesn’t come to that and cooler heads prevail.
But something else people need to understand, while the SEC hopefully won’t expel LSU, the league presidents and chancellors, Sankey’s actual bosses, have empowered him to hand down other other punishments that include both monetary penalties and suspensions. So, while I doubt the conference expels LSU, I’d not be surprised if they instead levy monetary penalties to the LSU program and suspend Kiffin, and possibly the AD, for a portion, or maybe the entirety, of the season.
Yep. This is the truth.

Play by the rules?
What rule did LK break exactly?

Read this and think about the mentality of the person who would write it:
Like a grab bag of random grievances and resentments, all irrational and none having to do with any true issue that is germane to the issue at hand.
And yet-every second year for the last quarter century-the tailgate I am a part of-has hosted dozens of Ole Miss fans-win or lose-and with friendship. .
It's a legit LESSON in the ugliness that people on this board have.

And you’re easy to hate. Lane is a cringe lord comic book villain. And your fanbase is obnoxious. Seeing your state government get involved while the state has a third world infrastructure just compounds the hatred. It shows college sports are for sale to the highest bidding no morals scumbags.

Get ready for the rest of the universities to be paying for LSU's athletic dept for years to come. You'll get sued into oblivion for punishing anyone that hasn't broken a single rule but instead just because you don't like them.
LSU and Lane gonna go from having a $40 million roster to a $100 million roster, funded and paid for by the other 15 schools.

It doesn’t matter how scummy the business someone is in actually is, if someone working in it marches up and tells the boss in front of the world “frick you, you aren’t the boss of me, you can’t tell me what to do” they will be canned. It has nothing to do with how scummy or pristine the business is.
So many LSU fans last week said they were willing to burn the SEC down to get their way. The problem for LSU is that LSU’s leaders Landry, Murrill, Rousse, Ausberry, Kiffin and Wade have echoed those sentiments.
This is not about two players. It is about LSU signaling that they will destroy the SEC if that is what it takes to win.

Stealing the best coach in the conference from a playoff team mid playoff run really broke these bitches lol

Because it’s warranted. I’ve never met such a group of people with such an entitled sense of self as Louisiana folks. Your entire identity is basically the same as any other southerner but just more drunk and more opinionated.
Man I just couldn’t disagree more. Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee “identities” are fairly homogenous.
Louisiana and the people ARE different, and not in a bad way if you’ve ever actually gotten to know any. Type of people who would give you the shirt off their back and a real meal if needed. I was lucky enough to go to school there and now have in-laws in S. Louisiana.
TLDR your take is poop

Wasn’t so friendly when you guys celebrated the snow storm that destroyed homes and displaced families. Cry me a fricking river.
Edit: granted Chicken took action for that so that should be mentioned. I don’t think LSU gets booted, nor should they IMO. But this shite is wild.

Again, it is neither here nor there.
This entire situation will likely be legal in a few years.

Are you under the impression that the fans on SECRant control the conference and will be the ones voting on Thursday?

That isn't what happened at all. If Lane had rostered the players, it would be more like what you described.
What actually happened is Lane said through actions and words, "I don't agree, but we're following the rules."

This is not about two players. It is about LSU
If you'd stopped right there, you'd be right. LSU was not involved in a single lawsuit until the SEC filed one against them. If you think one entity out of sixteen will sit around and let other institutions be allowed to do whatever they want while LSU is told otherwise because of some petty bullshite, yeah, burn it down. frick yall.

It’s the hubris. The arrogance from a school (without “stellar” academics) that acts like they’re the center of the universe. The obnoxious fan base. The inhospitable reputation.
Add in Louisiana’s political and economic corruption and dysfunction, and LSU has built the perfect recipe for being universally disliked.
But it’s nothing personal.

For what? Be specific? Give me a precedent.
Again, unlike most here, I’m not saying things because I wish they’ll happen, rather because I’m looking at this matter from a logical and unbiased standpoint and starting only things I think will happen.
Having said that, I believe they will cite what they’ve described as “lack of institutional control” as the basis for whatever punishment is coming. Why else would they include that phrase in the amendment to the federal lawsuit they’ve filed in Bham?

Historically LSU is probably my favorite SEC team other than Florida.
We've had a great series the last few decades, enjoyable games.
But the last few weeks a whole lot of you are not living in reality.
You went from bragging about signing pros and there was nothing the SEC could do about it. Gloating when you got the TRO. Then suddenly doing the "Kiffin would always follow the rules!" narrative.
Now at 1-0 some of you think you're the greatest team to ever touch turf and the SEC is trying to kick you out because you're too amazing.
I think some self reflection is in order.
That said I've seen more rational perspectives the last few days from some of you.
