Do you realize that the tapes have been heard by a large number of non-FBI people and they're being quoted verbatim in the press?

I imagine that poster also realizes that the FBI likely has more evidence than what Pat Forde is reporting on, which may or may not be of interest to the NCAA.

And the NCCA's request for FBI evidence as it pertained to the first trial was denied. It's likely it gets denied again. Of course, much of it will be publicly available after the trial concludes, so they will just wait it out.

Pal, you got a huge problem with reality.

OK, pal. Allow me to join you and the rest of the brain trust.

Derp, Wade is a criminal. He's going to jail!

Does that better align with your special case of reality?

Man please! The tapes that are being talked about all over this board and everywhere else are now publicly KNOWN! That's all the NCAA needs to crush LSU.

This is where I'm at. It's obvious he fricked up. How much of it is going to be able to be proven and what's the NCAA going to do about it is what I'm going to wait to see. IMO there's no reason to freak out right now.

The transcripts of many of these tapes were available to the NCAA when they were read in court back in October.

You may need to settle down with the hyperbole.

The NCAA screwed up the Nevin Shapiro case something fierce. There is no timetable for them to start dishing out punishment. They are doing exactly what they should be doing........sitting back and letting the FEDS do their thing. This is just getting started.

Here's reality: Wade and LSU are getting ready to be dragged over the coals (probation for LSU and a firing followed by a show-cause for Wade). Now it ain't gonna happen tomorrow or next week, but you can bet your arse that's the end-game.

It gets tiresome responding to multiple people coming from different angles. This is all fine and reasonable. I responded to the jack rabbit saying the tapes that he's read about is enough to "crush" LSU. If that were the case, they wouldn't need to sit back and wait. Obviously they need more to "crush" anyone. Otherwise, they at least would have started an investigation.

Your enthusiastic prediction is noted. Again, you jumped into a different discussion and confused yourself. That's not really my problem.

The FBI is going to share information with the NCAA? What's been released so far isn't enough to put anyone on probation.

Nobody wants the NCAA digging around their back yard. Nobody. This isn’t about criminal charges or violations based solely off of what is in those tapes. It’s about the coming anal probe.

There are other coaches on tapes purportedly coming soon so this situation will likely become too big to ignore and too big to hammer them all. Sit back and wait for all the chips to fall.

Kinda like getting the death penalty..no sense worrying about it until they start strapping you down on the gurney.

Friendly reminder the key evidence used to implicate Ole Miss for paying players was a text from a rando booster to Leo Lewis saying “you owe me”. Good luck, Will Wade.

I guess you're right. Sort of like having terminal cancer, but not actually feeling bad.

So, what do you suggest? Stop watching the games? Don't goto the last regular season game Saturday? Should I burn all of my LSU basketball shirts? Call in sick everyday until the shite hits the fan? Do I give up on the kids that are on the team now? What would you do?

No, I'd say it's more like having a worrisome mole but having to wait until you get to the doctor so it can be biopsied. Maybe it's benign. Maybe it's malignant, but removing it makes it all go away. Maybe it's already metastasized and you're fricked.

There is so much bullshite and denial in this post it's crazy.

Leo was only a small portion of over a dozen violations. He didn't cause anything, he just got caught up in ya'lls mess.

Yeah man. Tunsil’s loaner car. Golson getting access to hunting land. A player sleeping on a coach’s couch. The Rebel Rags allegations that have so little validity that your former AD, greatest coach of all time, and the NCAA are getting sued in real court. Can you name anything more egregious than Lewis’ allegation?

Leo Lewis was the only player who told the NCAA that Ole Miss paid him. He was completely necessary for the NCAA to hammer Ole Miss.

You make a good point, my friend. I would continue to support my school/team as I'm sure you will. The problem most non-LSU posters are having is with the fools who are trying to project the situation as "nothing to worry about...it's all just BS". These are the posters who try to run all the other schools down while claiming to be perpetual victims of any misfortunes. You're not one of that crowd, so you don't need the harassment.
