Look, Auburn fans, y’all were very nice to the Florida faithful this past weekend, so I’m emphatic to what kind of coach you have right now. Golesh is kind of a pussy and pushing this “process” nonsense. Just cringe.

I'm getting tired of this business of us hiring dumbasses in the same cycle and then sucking. Feels like our programs are tied together in some weird coaching death spiral since Gus played games with our AD towards the end of his tenure with y'all.

Arkansas has definitely struggled a lot like Auburn but a lot of that is we were both unstable when NIL/ transfer portal and social media started steering players to a specific type.
There are not enough brainy coaches to rescue programs from the abyss.
Programs like Ole Miss were in better position because of their previous coach and have capitalized handsomely. Auburn and Arkansas will have to figure it out one way or another and it will keep getting more expensive until then.

Years ago when Gene Stallings was coaching Alabama, a reporter referred to Bama's next opponent, a mid-major school, as "not a big game". Stallings told him if Bama didn't win it most assuredly would be a big game.

I have the same philosophy in a thing I compete in.
I am rank #1 when active and have been for years. I do not focus on results, I focus on the process. When you focus on beating something, you focus more on the opponent than yourself. If you focus on yourself and improve that, the results follow automatically. This is the advice I give when interviewed all the time, do not focus on results, focus on the little things that make you better.
He never said he didn't' want to win, didn't plan to win, or anything else. He is saying at this point the process of getting better is what is important, not the results.

Why would he consider it a must game,he knows he has a rebuild on his hands.He understands they have no shot at an SEC championship this season.

This. Right now he’s focused on establishing culture and focusing on the day to day process of his players and coaches. To designate a game as a “must win” takes way from focusing on developing a process because if they do that, the wins will take care of themselves.
