They would bring fans to the games as well.

The SEC seems to be set on staying in or near their footprint. Notre Dame might be the exception when they finally join the P2.

I like the B1G's West expansion but they need some travel partners.

Honest question. How do you see ND ever joining the SEC when they can get more money from the BIG and have a better regional and cultural fit?

I doubt it will happen, but they will be interested on both sides. If I had to guess, ND will play the B1G and SEC for the best terms and stay up north.

What’s that mean?

Notre Dame, imo, will join the B1G but not before using an offer from the SEC as leverage.

WVU would crawl on its knees to all the games if it got them in the SEC.

If we're discussing schools to pair with UNC, I would much rather have Virginia Tech or even NC State (assuming Clemson and FSU are no).

West Virginia is one of those states you never think about when planning a vacation. Riddled with poverty, poor education, drug abuse, juvenile delinquency and teen pregnancy. And a Stone Age mentality that still values coal. And, BTW, no big TV markets.

Hard pass.

Sounds like a cultural fit.

You’ve only proven that Wikipedia can make a swamp rat sound pretty smart!

Use wiki to tell me what “ La “brings to the table.2nd highest poverty in the US? Swamps? Natural processing of Missouri poop? I like New Orleans, but the place is a dump outside of a few areas. I guess you have Blake Baker so all is well in the swamp!

Crude oil processing, gaming industry, the largest port by export volume in the United States, wildlife and fisheries, tourism, excellent cuisine, soybeans, sugar cane.

still values coal

Coal is needed for the making of steel and one of its by products (fly ash) is key in production of limestone cements

I would not call their recognition of coal stone age by any stretch.

Good food, gaming, soybeans & sugar, MEH…. I’m all for fossil fuels but in reality, who’s wants to live by it?? Having the largest Phillips refinery here in St. Louis. Nothing you want to live by… that’s for sure!

Los Angeles is the largest port by far and it’s not even close.

I've not seen anything. Would be a mistake taking them in, dead weight. They bring nothing to the table.

I'd take WVU. Fans are passionate. That's really all I care about. Them vs Hail State, Kentucky, and Mizzou will be fun.

Notre Dame will never join a conference unless they start getting treated by the playoff committee like a Group of 5 team.

You can thank Michigan for them staying away from the B1G.
