Oxygen is highly combustible, so I expect Bama to eventually turn into a dumpster fire.

Trees produce oxygen, so Harvey actually did you guys a favor. Imagine how bad the dumpster fire would have been this year with the old oaks photosynthesizing away.

What I find weird about articles like this, and I've seen several, is that they mirror the SECR mindset.

The blame goes to the BCS and now the playoffs.

In the old bowl system, other than your conference, there was nothing to clearly win. Sure national titles were on the line, but they were speculative because the top two teams didn't play in a bowl. People were happy with double digit win seasons no matter if they got a title or not.

Now that someone CAN win it all, that is all that matters. Just like politics eventually journalists turn everything into a horse race.

Alabama is a machine. I doff my cap to college football greatness.

For the goddamn record: Nick Saban is a far more impressive coach than Bear Bryant.

Whether I should jackit to this type of article makes no sense. The fact I did makes all the sense.

I wouldn't say far more. But I'm young enough to be in the camp that doesn't have nostalgia for Bear, just stories. With scholarship restrictions and advances in modern training, there's never been more parity.

I'd be very surprised if Bama doesn't win another title within the next three seasons. If Saban wins half of the titles within the span of a decade, that would cement his legacy as the greatest college coach ever.

Amen. Nick is a perfectionist. Bear was just a bully.
