What you’re seeing in Texas Tech is the same thing we saw with Ohio State last night. And what we saw in Boise State, Oregon, Georgia, and Arizona State in last year’s playoffs. Namely, teams that haven’t played in close to a month looking rusty and out of sync and going on to lose. As of right now, teams with a first round bye in the CFP are a combined 0-5. In another quarter and a half, they’ll be a combined 0-6.

There were a lot of Bama fans claiming Tech is extremely dangerous and talking smack on anyone questioning their strength of schedule, all quiet now. They didn’t play a tough schedule, and it was a reasonable criticism.
