Would you watch a G5 playoff?

I would love to see mid majors fight it out for a playoff championship.
Army, Navy, Air Force would be relevant again along with Boise, Tulane, Rice, SMU, etc.

I would like to see the G5 schools have their own National Championship honestly.
These schools will NEVER be able to compete with the SEC or any other conference for a National Championship.

Yes I would! Well until Texas weasels their way into the G5 at least

Yes, but my reservation is strength of schedule, how would it be computed?
Hypothetical: If you have an undefeated UCF with the 95th ranked schedule, no top 25 wins, and say a 2 loss Ole Miss (only as an example) with 2 close loses to Top 5 teams and blew out everyone, with a Top 15 win on their resume, who would you put in the Top 12?
Baylor didn’t make the playoffs one year bc they were told their schedule was too easy, it was held against them, how do you fairly evaluate borderline 12th ranked P5 teams that never made the playoffs, and G5’s with an easier slate, that never make the playoffs? I guess I’d be okay with undefeated G5’s can be ranked in the Top 12, but idk

Absolutely, more good football is always fun to watch. I watch the FCS playoffs every year.

I believe the question is a G5-only playoff, not a G5 in the CFP.
And I would watch if it happened, but I don't want it to happen.

Oh gotcha, thanks man, I thought we were assuming they are going to include a G5 or 2 in the regular playoffs, and I was trying to rationalize it

Troy would have a shot at this thing some years.

I was getting ready to say the same thing. FCS playoffs are always fun to watch (JMU ftw), soo I could definitely get behind a G5 playoff, too.

No. For the same reason I don't watch the CFL playoffs.

Hell yes. I've wanted to see that happen for years. G5 playoff would be awesome

Yes. I watched the FCS playoffs and there was some exciting ball being played.

Yes. I think giving them a real championship to play for would be more beneficial to the long term health of the sport than offering one of them the opportunity to have their teeth kicked in in the big boy playoffs every year.
