re: Would you ever honestly wish the NCAA Death Penalty on your Rival?

I could see the Mississippi schools benefiting the most from the other going down. Not only would it free up the entire state (Mississippi isn't great but it's decent and if you could hoard ALL the talent, you'd have a quality team) but it would allow them to be the state's team. The instate rivalry seems to always be overshadowed too.

No. Where's the fun in that?

I wish they would just cancel the program

I would have to say I do not want Alabama to get the death penalty, however, I would like to hear that "they were staring down the barrel of the death penalty", so I would prefer massive probation , plus years of vacated games (the ultimate penalty)... Alabama is the most penalized team in the last 20 years, but folks do not know it.

I bet half of them were from 2002

The hope before, no matter how small, was that we would largely be able to avoid major punishment from the NCAA, but once news broke that we were self-imposing major sanctions, it was clear that the game was up. The question was no longer whether or not we were getting nailed, because we had effectively nailed ourselves. The real question quickly become not whether we were getting nailed, but whether we could get away with "just" that little in terms of sanctions, or whether the NCAA was simply going to blow us out of the water. Either way, the outcome was very depressing for the future prospects of Alabama football.

Jason Allen signed with Tennessee, and Ben Obomanu signed with Auburn, as did Montavus Pitts, Kevin Sears, and Tommy Jackson. The only players Alabama was able to get were prospects in the greater Tuscaloosa area, those who grew up with diehard Alabama allegiances, or players who simply drew no other interest from the major programs. Players who did not fall into those categories passed the Tide by left and right.

No rivalries are what make college football great.

Yes, I would find it hilarious to see the Bama fans who have nothing in thier lives but thier football team, and then see it go away.
Considering you don't even know how to spell "their," I doubt your life is all that fulfilling either.

The way the media drug AU and Newton through the mud, the whole country wanted to burn AU and Cam at the stake. The NCAA would have been fricking national heroes had they nailed AU. Yet they didn't, because they didn't have shite and would have been crucified in court by competent lawyers.
Point being, most/more than admit coming into this thread (especially anyone who posted in ATPB), are lying their arse off if they say no to this question. People love to watch shite burn, to see suffering, and supposed payment for the cost of their hate.

Honestly no.
After reading ED it makes me kinda want it. But in reality no I wouldn't want it to happen.
I have to much watch watching their meltdown after we beat their arse on the field

No!!! I enjoy playing our rivals at their best! If we beat them I don't want it to be because they got exposed for cheating I want it to be because we are the better football team on that given night or day! I hate Bama, but I look forward to that game every year now! Please lets start the season!!

Says the school who is currently on probation for having a coach and a booster give benefits to a recruit... While Auburn has been clean for over 20 years...

This. I miss the fricking LSU games during the Tubs era. I'm hoping the AU/UA games can become yearly close games, where the spread doesn't mean shite. That's when fandom is fun, the unexpected raises the intensity and excitement.

Tennessee - hell yes
Auburn - nah
Auburn - nah

I think they should consolidate the football programs at the two schools. So if the death penalty was the first step in that process, then Yes. It would be short term painful. But it would pay long term dividend.

MSU, the school that tries to cheat and even fails at that. Just a whole bunch of fail.
