At indoor neutral sites? Ofcourse. It's this how we should decide championship? In negative 2 degree weather?

College football season needs to move up 1 month.
It will allow for less shite weather in the playoffs and you won’t have the portal open at the same time as the playoffs
Also cuts down on the horrible gap between baseball and football

I mentioned in another thread that Big 10 teams have been saying they would kick SEC arse if they ever got to play them in a cold climate instead of in bowls in Florida... where the SEC has kicked their arse for the last 50 years.

A whole month of miserable August blazing heat day games

Better than below freezing playoff games.
Playoff games either get moved indoors or down south just like bowls did

Ohio State would have beaten Tennessee if they’d played in a dome on the moon, that was a very good team, on the short list of the most talented teams in the country, taking out some frustration and proving a point.
SMU might have played a little better in better conditions, but I still don’t see them competing with Penn State,
I really don’t think the other two outcomes would have changed either.

Sounds good, but then again I’d never be stupid enough to attempt going to an LSU game in August at 11 am or 3. That would be suicide

Agree to disagree here. Weather is and should be a factor. Teams play all over the country. That’s why home field advantage is so important.

Eh. Take care of business before the playoffs and the games are played in the south.

NO. We just need half the playoff games.
Winner of each of 4 conf in w bye
Conf level playoff 2 vs 3
8 team playoff…all at bowls.

How frickin soft lol. Why don’t they just play with flags instead. Come on..

None of the games so far were “deciding a championship”. Up until this year none of the teams that have played so far would have qualified to be playing for a national championship.
It is pretty obvious 12 teams is too many and unnecessary other than to make more money.
It is probably best to consider this to still be a 4 Team playoff, and all games before the final 4 are “play in” games

It may have been a bit closer indoors, but Tennessee was going to lose that game. OSU was pissed off from Meeechigan and all the stupid take over the stadium talk. That was a team on a mission last night. They were focused and firing on all cylinders. Tennessee on the other hand folded fast and Sampson decided to peace out, so they couldn’t even play to the one strength they had all season. Nico and his masters of dropping passes had nothing to for them.
The defensive play shocked me though. I thought the defense would keep it interesting until they ran out of gas, but they were barely an obstacle. I think Tennessee would have faired a lot better against any other team that played this weekend and got screwed on seeding. This was more like a 1 vs 12 seeding.

It SHOULD be an advantage. At every level of football, FCS, DII, DIII, NAIA, playoff games are played at the home stadium of the higher seeded team, as it should be.
The other aspect is the fans. Many might could afford to come to an on campus game, but can’t afford to fly all over the country to “neutral sites” to support their team.

We would have gotten curb stomped regardless. Our OL is abysmal. Heupel’s biggest issue is being loyal to some subpar MAC position coaches. Every time we have a week or more to prepare and a road game — see Arkansas, South Carolina, Ohio State, etc etc etc — we lay an egg and get humiliated.

Quit whining. We're talking about Tennessee here. They got destroyed, and deservedly. Enjoy it.
