In the big12? A&M would have for sure and possibly won, Mizzou might have gone this past year, but I doubt they win. Does that kind of piss y'all off, talking to fans of those schools? Sorry if Germans.

Not even slightly.

They care more about sticking it to Texas than winning

We were a much better team at the end of 2012 than at the beginning, so I don't think it's a given we go undefeated.
But assuming we ran the table in the B12 in 2012, would we have gotten to the BCS championship over Notre Dame and an undefeated Bama? Probably not.
But even if we would have won the championship that one year, being in the SEC is better for us long term.

Wir haben diese Frage nicht vor gefragt!
As we have already stated, and even as Loftin stated in his book: As long as Bill Byrne and Mike Sherman were running the show, a 2010 season was our ceiling and a 2009/2011 season was the norm.
Sherman coached scared and the players followed suit. Byrne was a moron when it came to contract negotiations and it showed. If Byrne were still the AD, Sumlin would be at USC now.

No. A&M needed a jolt only the SEC could provide. When Oklahoma turned down the SEC and the conference turned its sights on A&M, it shook the program out of a slumber.

Link? It's been well documented that, as long as Pickens is alive, Oklahoma isn't going anywhere without Okie Lite.

Did y'all only change your coach and AD because of the sec? Needed fresh blood entering a new conference?

That may have been the reason I'm guessing. Either way, worked out for everyone.

Not the only reason. The three biggest reasons Sherman was fired:
1. 2011 Season results + "no senior leadership" excuse.
2. Losing to t.u. in the final game between the two schools.
3. Publicly and actively complaining about the SEC move
Bill Byrne outright refused to support the move, saying (paraphrased) that A&M needed to be tied to Texas and that A&M wasn't capable of competing in the SEC.

Neither wanted to be in the SEC. Byrne had tried to get us to agree to join UTx in the move to the PAC, while Sherman never wanted to leave the B12. In fact, during the 2011 season, Sherman refused to address the fact that we were moving to the SEC for 2012, and even reportedly bitched out a Regent when an SEC commercial played on the jumbotron.
They just didn't share the same vision, and had they remained, would not have leveraged the advantages the SEC presents.

No.
Sherman would still have coached, and Manziel wouldn't have started. Plus, even if Manziel had somehow found his way onto the field, he would have been running the pro style offense instead of the spread which maximized his abilities.

No. Winning in the SEC is twenty fold sweeter than the XII. Plus, Missouri would have never raised their game (in recruiting, coaching and facilities) as a they've had to in the SEC.
It's been a win-win-win as far as I'm concerned.

Is there a connection between Sherman getting fired and moving to the SEC?
