What's his buyout like after this season? The AU brass can't be happy about this

This was one of his best seasons. Won their Super Bowl and 9 games. Better than what Mahlzan typically puts out.

If the Auburn gave a shite, they’d have fired his arse after last seasons shitshow.

He’s a good coach that runs a clean program and recruits guys with high character and good GPAs.

He’s doing fine over there and he’s beat Saban more than any HC in the county.

Low ROI

They could get this same result for half the investment

He’s going to be there a while, that Bama win bought him two more seasons.

I think the AD and school has decided that Auburn is a top 10 school not a cfp school like Michigan with OSU except Auburn BAMA is a rivalry,

^this.

I think this board could pick a head coach for 3 million dollars a season that could win 9 games.

I think they stick with him as long as Saban is coaching. Once Saban retires, Gus leaves.

Well they beat bama so that probably saved him no matter what outcome in a meaningless bowl game

Auburn by far had the toughest schedule. I do think though with that defense, he deserves criticism for starting Nix from day 1. There's no way you can convince me he won the job in camp.

Depends. This was an average year, but Gus has beaten Bama 3 times and then loses the bowl game to get back on the hot seat. Close losses to 11 win teams (4) and wins (2) by beating Oregon and Bama.

My guess is 8-9 wins next year.

FWIW, this was an above average year for Gus.

No. He beat bama so that gives him two years. He’s safe through end of 2021. So in 2021 he’ll need to beat either bama or uga.

AU fans are gonna have to revolt if they want the football program to get to the next level.

Bama and Auburn fans want Gus gone. Everyone else wants him to get a lifetime contract.

I used to make fun of Bama fans for throwing bricks through their HC's window, but I'm loosening up my arm right now. It's way past time for GusShortBus to go.

But they can’t beat LSU and Georgia
