Has to be Chad Morris. Hopefully he will bring some of his magic to the Plains

Though not SEC, Willie Taggart deserves a s/o. He rurnt FSU.

Look at why the OC accepted the job at FSU and not stayed at FAU for another year. Then he is now at Arkansas! I doubt he will succeed at Arkansas as the OC. It was his bad decision to go to FSU. Then who is he leaning on to get help with the offense? Kiffin is not there to lead the offense. Then at Arkansas who else knows offense? I doubt he is ready and knows what to do to get Arkansas back to getting the offense going in the SEC.

It's been a while, but I think the deal with Larry Coker was that he sort of coasted for 2 years off the roster he inherited from Butch Davis.

Then Miami moved from the Big East to the ACC. Meanwhile, the talent level declined the longer he was there. Virginia Tech handed him some tough losses, I think Geoegia Tech did, too.

Coker did absolutely nothing at UTSA.

Coker is kind of like Gene Chizik. Both went from national champs to the unemployment line rather quickly.

I would rather have a NC at my school. Would Texas A&M love to have one too?!

Jack Crowe was a terrible hire, but he never even coached a SEC game. However, he was the first Arkansas coach to lose consecutive games to Ole Miss since 1970 and he lost one to Georgia.

Right after he was fired for losing to the Citadel, Arkansas won it's first SEC game 45-7 @South Carolina and would upset #4 Tennessee in Knoxville later that season, under temp coach Joe Kines.

I still don't understand what Morris had planned or why he didn't even really try. My belief is that he planned to completely turn over the roster before spending time coaching on the field. How he could expect that to work is beyond me.

But, in fairness that is on the administration and not on Luke.

Yeah most Ole Miss fans put the blame on Ross Bjork. It was also his idea of “exemplary cooperation” with the NCAA. Can’t believe A&M hired the guy.

I still don't understand why Arkansas's administration and boosters went along with the hiring of Chad Morris.

Well, it's all in the rearview mirror now. Good luck to you. I remember when Archie Manning was playing at Ole Miss. (Yes I am old as dirt) He was a great one. People who never saw him play and just go by statistics have no idea. He could put a team on his back and carry it around.

They put all the eggs in a basket with Malzahn who had no intentions of coming here. Since they wasted so much time with Gus, they had no other plans. Supposedly they took advice from Gus and that was hire Morris.

They could have went after better candidates like Sonny Dykes or Mike Norvell but instead had a knee jerk reaction and here we are.

Yep. That is why one hired can make it huge or bad and that is what FSU is in right now. Mizzou was in a bad situation and hired Barry Odom. No one wanted to go to Missouri. Now after Odom and the trouble at missouri is now over and that made it easier to hire someone with a better HC ability. Drinkwitz also is a much better recruiter and will be running the offense. Those two were what Missouri was lacking.

Jimbo Fisher for 10 years and 75 million dollars guaranteed has to be up there in the list.

We made bad hires even when the program was in better shape. Bert was a good example despite a good resume at Wisconsin.

Jeff Long instead of evaluating the situation such as personality or work ethic, he just saw the stats and went with that. A prime Frank Broyles would not hire him or if he did then he would boss him around like Barry Alvarez did. You are not going to succeed if someone is holding your hand. Bert had no clue when he went his own way.

Alvarez wouldn't hesitate to take the reins himself if he needed to. The kind of boss you don't get fat and lazy under

I say Jerry Jones! Jerry Jones! Jerry Jones! He loves to get into the Arkansas football! Just like his own Football team!

They gotta get mentioned, but you know, Mike "It's rollin' baby" Price is the only bama coach never to lose a game.

How could Curley Hallman be left off this list?
Unless it was not recent enough to count?

1. The firing of Bert to hire Morris is the worst coaching change in conference history. Arkansas should be proud.

2 Fatt Luke. They never really invested in him. The hired him with the full intent of firing him in a few years. Shark fans got Kiffin, but this hire definitely did some damage to the program when it really did not need it.

3. Moorehead. The hire looked like it would be great, but the dude was in over his head and failed to be flexible to the extent that he wasted talent and benched the team’s most talented QB. His team got worse and worse in 2019.

4. Schiano
