It wasn’t about talent.

I think it had to do more with culture. For some GD reason, Jimbo created a culture with zero accountability.

The inmates were running the place.

I just looked at Morris record and I forgot how bad he was. Good lord I never seen a record that bad. Did he just not recruit? Or was he just not a good gameday coach?

I got kicked off of Hogville for pointing out the fact that he was leaving the Arkansas team on Thursday mornings to fly out to Texas to see his kid play high school football, as opposed to Friday morning.

I knew this for a fact because a relative of mine happened to work at the airport.

It really shouldn't have mattered. The fact that he was leaving Arkansas a day or two before they played, should have had him terminated immediately.

It depends on what you consider "worse".

Schellenberger was an arrogant, drunken buffoon who had been an elite football coach before the bottle got the best of him.

John Blake was too incapable of being a head football coach to even be an incompetent.one.

The stories on both guys were legendary. If they weren't the worst coaches in history...they were certainly the most cartoonish.

Chad Morris is absolutely the answer here. People thinking Harsin or Taggart were worse just don't remember how bad Morris was.

Chad Morris not winning an SEC game isn't even his worst offense. In two seasons, he managed to lose to Colorado State, North Texas, San Jose State, and Western Kentucky. He left Arkansas with a losing record against the Sun Belt. 2 of his 4 wins were against FCS schools and even one of those was a one score game.

Morris was 2-4 against G5 schools at Arkansas. It would have been very difficult to be worse than he was.

North Texas beat Chad Morris 44-17.
Western Kentucky beat Chad Morris 45-19.

I'm saying Jimbo

Not even close. Not in the top 20. He went 45-25 at A&M and 27-21 in the SEC.

For comparison and contrast, Ed Orgeron went 10-25 at Ole Miss and 3-21 in the SEC.

Worst contract? Yes, that is possible. But that is on the AD Woodward, not on Jimbo.

Bjork. If Jimbo was on original contract his firing would be a non-story.

He was past his prime by a decade easily and he was drunk on the practice field pretty much daily. Players were hiding water because he refused to give it to them. If Switzer had any role in getting rid of him after one season then God bless him.

He was a decent recruiter, the players didn't like nor respected him from the very first day except some of his own freshmen. Watch the North Texas game as an example.

He made players lose weight such as center Ricky Stromberg at 265 pounds.

Used a helicopter to go watch his son play on Friday nights.

For two years lived by himself and rest of his family didn't move in.

The North Texas and Western Kentucky games were as a result of player revolts.

Is it a coincidence that another Scott Woodward coach/program have shown some possible culture issues rising to the surface?

Scott Woodward and Brian Kelly best get busy, nip it in the bud before it gets too far gone.

WKU maybe but North Texas was game 3 of the tenure. But you'd know better than I.
