Aren't you a South Carolina fan? If so, y'all should work on beating our underachieving players more often.

Man. That's a blast from the past. What was that....10-15 years ago?

However, it seems we played for the national Championship this past season, so apparently "all that talent" did pretty well this year, right? And we just brought in more.

It’s almost like a one dimensional offense is easier for other team to stop...

Typically it is, but not many teams were able to during the regular season, were they?

We already have like 9 million threads on this. Let's not become (or at least be less) unbearable.

I'm surprised that so many Georgia folks are showing their unfamiliarity with success by conducting themselves like LSU fans...I honestly expected more from y'all.

as we saw when he was at Bama his defense struggles against well balanced offenses.

Yeah. When Kirby was at Alabama you were definitely an offensive minded team. Defense was always a problem for Alabama.

Alabama signed one of the greatest classes in the recruiting service era in 2017 you dumbass. Kirby was already at Georgia.

Won't be popular but let's open the discussion

Our best class ever was without Kirby. Kirby is a great recruiter, but so is Pruitt and a lot of other coaches we have and have had.
That Kirby had a hand in. They don't start recruiting 2019 kids after the 2018 class is singed. They recruiting 2-3 years ahead.

quote:
This year was an anomaly.
Maybe. Even probably. I can't say and neither can you. We'll know in a couple of years.
quote:
It was always going to be a smaller class for Bama this year.
And if the smaller class were the only issue, you would have a point. The average ranking per kid was down, too. With fewer targets it should have given the staff more time to get the players they wanted.
quote:
The offense with Hurts didn't do much to excite a lot of recruits.
I don't know, and don't care to check, but was the offensive production that much out of whack from previous years? I mean pass/run ratio, etc?
quote:
Our coordinators and several other position coaches were in flux during the time when we needed to be sealing the deal with recruits.

This has been the casr for years, though. I mean, when you have the success Alabama has had, you lose staff every single year. We lost some crucial coaches, too.
Granted, not a OC and a DC. I can certainly see where those would impact you, though.
quote:
And, I think the new early signing period threw a monkey wrench in Saban's normal well-oiled recruiting machine.
Understood, and understandable. But everybody went to the new early signing period. Smart has a system, I'm sure, similar to Saban, but he adjusted.
quote:
Expect all of those things to be remedied next year and Bama to return to scorched earth policy recruiting.
Wouldn't surprise me a bit. We should all know more in a year or two. I never count Saban out.
quote:
None of that takes away from what UGA has done in recruiting. And, I'm sure they'll continue to do well. But, don't get too giddy thinking Bama is going anywhere.
I don't think anybody thinks Bama is going anywhere.
quote:
There were issues, and they've been addressed.
They've been addressed? how do you know this? Has Saban come out and said y'all had issues, but they've been addressed, or are you assuming this based on past history?

Dude. Rather than respond to all that, how about I just bookmark this and we'll see who's right one year from now? See you then.

Hey Sandwich. GFY. This abortion of a thread has the 2nd most replies of any thread in the last two days. The other is "Georgia has to be cheating." Over 90% of the replies are good discussion. Many are well crafted and paragraphs long. I can guarantee that it's better quality than any bull shite you have ever started. Again, how about you GFY.

Sorry you are jelly...douche. LOL.

Wow Auburn fans y’all were right, UGA has become ridiculous and they didn’t even win it all, could you imagine if they would have pulled it off? Yeah, me neither.

I was just thinking this. It's probably a combination of LSU alters as UGA fans and 2011 part deux
