Hurts lost the Heisman for Tua. The "well, if player x wasn't in the game, how would the team fare"?..........we saw what would happen. Not to mention, Tua had a horrible game up until that point. Murray played a fantastic game.

Hurts also could arguably have won it for Tua. He proved that if Tua hadn't been playing in pain and could therefore be more mobile he coule have beat UGA, unless we are now arguing Hurts is clearly a better QB.

We can also argue that Hurts coming in—much improved from last year—could have easily gone through Bama’s schedule and make the SECcg. After all, save one game last year, he took them straight to the NC.

Sure. So long as we're not conflating who is a better qb, and being dishonest.

College football is all about politics. Tua deserves to win, but they’ll give it to Murray. The Bama fatigue west of the Mississippi will cost Tua the Heisman

When a team like Bama is contending and winning NCs it isn't a big deal at all.

For teams like A&M it was a big deal.

Tua deserves it this season hands down in my opinion.

Trevor is coming.

Murray. Tua is deserving but he has next year and the last game sort of lost it for him. He has to learn to check down and play smarter.

I wouldn't trade Tua for Murray.

Did Fromm win every game for UGA?

But did Tua win every game for bama? I'm fairly certain hurts won the SECCG for y'all. If Tua would be stayed in, I have a feeling Alabama would have lost and we would be playing Notre dame right now and y'all would be playing Clemson

Look at the defense Kyler just played. fricking terrible. Will Grier torched that defense worse than Kyler did.

That "terrible" defense you speak of outranked 4 SEC defenses this year, and those 2 offenses that beat that terrible defense were the #1 and #8 offenses in the nation.

They’re both very good and fun to watch. Both are deserving. I might lean Murray because Tua played his worst game of the year in his biggest game of the year, but Murray has also been playing Big XII defenses, so its a tossup for me.

Yea there shouldn't be any hate for either kid. Both have literally had the two most efficient passing seasons in CFB history.

Tua had a TD pass every 15.5 snaps(588).

If he had Murray snaps (807) that would equate to 8-9 more TD passes.

If he had Haskins snaps (1009) that would equate to 30 or so TD passes.

It’s Murray and it’s not close. Adjusting for the fact that Tua played fewer snaps by using averages, Murray has a higher rating, better completion percentage, better yards per attempt, and is a MUCH more proficient runner as well. He does so with slightly less talent around him. Essentially, he IS the OU offense.

Murray is going to win. I thought it was dead even until last week and Tua unfortunately had his worst game while Kyler played great.

I hate Bama. That said, it should be Tua. It shouldn’t be close.

All 3 have valid arguments. Tua played against better defenses, but had more talent around him. Murray played against the worst defenses, but had to overcome his own team unable to stop anybody. Haskins is right in between the two. Surrounded by high caliber talent but not quite Alabama level. Had a defense that wasn't stellar but not nearly as atrocious as OU's.

Since OU doesn't really play defense, the other team can score quick and then OU gets the ball back and can score quick (bc the other team doesn't play defense either). It would seem that, given that scenario, Murray will average more plays per game, as a natural consequence of the style of football they play in that conference, and thus have higher overall totals in most, if not all, categories.

I believe that Tua is the better QB but KM is electric on the field and just like JFF that will push him over the top. I don't believe JFF should have won it (not saying he wasn't deserving) and I don't believe KM should win it it but he will.

So you will judge his body of work based on one game. Not to state the obvious, but Tua could have had much better stats had he not closed out most games before halftime.
